Two strikes — not sure if I will go back to this shop for round three. I dragged my poor husband with me the first time based on one positive review and their website listed yarns I use.
I was surprised that we weren’t even acknowledged when we walked into the shop –after all it’s a small location. My hubby is such a good sport about going yarn shopping with me and he usually manages to strike up a conversation with the owners/​staff, but not in this case. We both felt out of place.
It was difficult to make our way through the shop mainly due to the set-​up of their group knitting session. It’s not a big place to begin with, but having a table full of knitters located smack dab in the middle of that small space made it hard to look at the yarn selection.
I’m a knitter and I’m always looking to add to my stash. I don’t consider myself too picky, but I didn’t find that their yarn selection was colorful or varied. They had none of the standard brands that I look for in colorways or solids and didn’t seem to carry even one high-​end yarn. I usually try to find mid-​priced yarn for most of my projects, but also like to splurge on the occasional «high end» skein for my stash. What I did find is mainly yarns and colors that are good for baby blankets and wash cloths. I didn’t see half of the yarns that they mention on their website — then again I wasn’t asked if I needed help.
I understand that shops like people have «off days», so I thought I owed them at least a return visit since I was «put-​off» during my first — but I experienced many of the same issues on trip two. I also recently discovered that some of their web pages still show the «will be updated» message from several months ago. Their FB page is kept up somewhat better, but there is inconsistency in what their store hours are between FB and their website.
I think I will stick to the few LYS’s that I’ve found have what I’m looking for and those that have a good and varied yarn selection — unfortunately, this shop isn’t one of them.

Shopped there for the first time today. Excellent customer service and friendly staff. Love the yarn selection — very colorful and bright. Will certainly go back. :)
