Apparently turning on the lights when it gets dark is not in the business plan. Prices are reasonable, turf was more sand than grass. Hitting balls and loosing sight of them after 20 feet is pointless, if it’s dark or getting dark turn on the numerous lights on the property.

Nice range, hitting off of grass. Shaded in the evening. Buckets of balls seemed a little small, but a large bucket was only $ 8.00. Would return next time I’m in the area.

The place isn’t in great condition in regards to the hitting area at the range or the chipping area. The putting green is more like a decent fairway at your typical golf course because they are not regularly mowed. I don’t see this as the main problem. My big critique is the inconsistent hours. Two out of the last three times I’ve been there(during the day) they were closed or closing for no apparent reason. The last time it was 55 degrees out, sunny, and around 1:00pm. The gate was open so I changed into my golf shoes and grabbed my bag. Walking into the door and BAM, I was told they were closed. Annoying and not a good business practice. I was told they were closing because the owner«said so» and the attendant was just following orders. I recommend heading on down the road to the Airport range off Pleasant Ridge or to Oak Hollow Golf Course, depending on what side of town you live on. Better deals and more consistent hours.

Overall it’s not too bad and you get what you pay for. Buckets came in 3 different sizes and were reasonable in price(I think it was 4, 5, and 8 but don’t quote me on that!). There are different poles out in the range to mark different distances and serve as things to aim at. You can also hit from the grass which I like. The mats weren’t set up very well — the rubber tees either weren’t in place or torn up. The one thing I didn’t like was that the putting/chipping area is an extra $ 2 per hour. I know it’s not much but I was disappointed in general that you can’t use it for the price of using their range. There was a golf pro there who gives lessons as well(I think they may oversee the chipping/putting area too). It’s convenient to work for me so I’ll probably go there fairly often to practice not hitting myself in the foot with the ball on my drives.
