Good food and service great people. I had to Peking duck and my girlfriend had the beef egg foo young and both were delicious.

Simply put. The best Gourmet Chinese Restaurant in the area. Actually the only one. These idiots that didn’t like it are probably cheapskates and don’t know food. And to take it a step further I would bet they are liberals.

Super Food! Really nice family owned small town feel with excellent authentic Chinese food. More like PF Chang than China Buffet. High quality, delicious and reasonable prices.

I have been two this restaurant twice and the food is great albeit a little over priced BUT the service is AWFUL!!! To the point that I will NOT go back while especially one particular server works there. He thinks he’s a little Queen but I’m here to tell you it is NOT cute. You are in the service industry sir and your job is to serve. Now I am normally a very good tipper I feel overall servers are grossly underpaid so I try to ALWAYS show them respect and be mindful of the hard work they do. This guy is just rude from the minute you sit down. Makes smart remarks and always looking down his nose at you. The second time we were there was for a birthday party(the restaurant was DEAD, they should have been glad we were there) we were treated as a nuisance and when my boyfriends sister went back several days later to eat with another small group of friends he immediately was questioning her when she walked in as to if it was another birthday party. WHY?!? We were paying customers and caused NO problems when we were there days before. The bill was apx 130 pre tip. That’s nothing to them evidently. I for one will NOT be back as long as this awful excuse for a server still works there!!!

I cannot speak(or write) complimentary enough regarding Full Kee. Anyone that remembers Jung’s on Church Street in Greensboro will know what I mean. Where other reviewers give poor reviews — they must be ordering from some poor quality restaurant. The portions are not large(as in most fine dining) nor is it inexpensive — BUT there were several different types of mushrooms in the dish, excellently executed sauce to accompany the fresh shrimp. I urge anyone reading my review to take in a quiet lunch or dinner here. No canned Chinese music — no obtrusive kitchen sounds or smells; how wonderful! Serving staff are efficient and are a compliment to the wonderful food!!!

Food ok but not exceptional; grossly overpriced. $ 53 for food alone for 2 people drinking water. I have never been for Chinese food, ordered 3 dishes for 2 people, & had no leftovers. Dinner prices for what should have been 2 lunch combo platters and a high-end appetizer. The server was also incompetent — we asked for salt & pepper squid, which technically is not on the menu, but salt and pepper shrimp is, as is calamari. She said if they had the ingredients, perhaps they could make it, and that sometimes people brought ingredients with them when they came to eat.(?!?) I said every single ingredient for what we wanted was on the menu, & she consulted with the chef. Chef assented, and we ordered it… or so we thought. She never placed the order until the entrees came out & we called her on it. We have been looking for good Chinese in the Triad(isn’t that ironic?) for months. Setting the s&p squid($ 17.50?! Should have been $ 10.), we could have eaten equally tasty food from mall food court steam tray. We will not be back.

The bf and I had dinner here tonight in an effort to try something new in the area. The interior is nicely decorated and welcoming. I ordered the Moo Shu chicken and my bf had General Tso’s chicken. For the price, I guess I was a little disappointed. This is actually the first time Ive ordered moo shu chicken so I have no comparison except it reminded me of chicken lo mein with mushrooms and cabbage. It was a noodle dish but also came with a side of fried rice. Personally I would’ve preferred a spring roll or soup. The general Tso’s looked good and also came with fried rice. The portion seemed small for the price. Overall the food was good, not great.

2.5 stars Ever since I moved from New Jersey to North Carolina ten years ago, I have been on a futile search for good Chinese food. To be fair, the Tarheel State does offer some credible Asian fusion. But the strictly Chinese establishments are, more often than not, likely to be generic takeout or a chain(PF Chang’s, Panda Express, etc.). Enter Full Kee, a full-service restaurant with a respectably varied menu. Could this be the end of the search? If the first visit was any indication, the answer is no. To its credit, Full Kee has a fairly deep menu, especially for these parts. While I was dismayed to see that cold sesame noodles(a personal favorite) were missing, the establishment offers a variety of duck, lamb, and sea bass dishes to complement the usual suspects(fired rice, kung pao, etc.). Moreover, the interior, while a bit dated in its design(salmon-on-brown, dark lighting, etc.) is nevertheless classy, clean, and comfortable. Service, while a touch impersonal, was efficient. Unfortunately, the food disappointed. An order of steamed dumplings was doughy with an unexpected sweet note, qualities one doesn’t typically appreciate in this type of dish. The Singapore noodles were pleasingly fragrant and visually appealing but could have used a bit more seasoning. Were this take-out Chinese, these missteps would have been par for the course. However, Full Kee seems to hold itself to a higher standard — and its customers to a higher price point. To put it simply, this place overcharges. All of the entrees are in the teens or higher, including simple noodle and rice dishes. For perspective, I was able to get a superior version of the dumplings and Singapore noodles in center city Charlotte(nobody’s idea of a low-cost area) for several dollars less. Full Kee looks and feels the part of a real Chinese restaurant, and the menu suggests that Chef Yu knows his way around one, but the high prices and uneven execution don’t inspire much faith. Consider Full Kee a half-measure.

Ate here for the first time yesterday. Had heard good things and was not disappointed. Definitely a departure from the dearth of Westernized Chinese fare in Greensboro. More traditional dishes with traditional sauces and vegetables. I had the Hunan Pork and was very pleased. Good flavors and mild heat with a delicious blend of peppers, mushrooms, zucchini, water chestnuts, and bamboo shoots. I will definitely be back to sample more dishes.

My husband and I have been here twice now and I don’t think I’ll go back. It is overpriced. The food is pretty good but $ 40 for an appetizer and two entrees is too much. I ordered the general tsao chicken both times and it was pretty good. The portion size is a bit small but the chicken was delicious. My husband had the cashew chicken the first time we went and it was delicious. Good portion size and lots of flavor. The second time he ordered the chicken & broccoli which was incredibly bland and had no taste whatsoever. We also tried the steamed pork dumplings which were not very good either. Certainly not with $ 7.

I liked Full Kee, if it was closer to me I would probably visit quite often. I thought the décor inside was nice and a bit more upscale then what you might normally see at a Chinese restaurant. The wait staff was very friendly and it seemed like both of the girls working were High Point University students. We ordered the crab rangoons, I did think the filling to fried dough ratio was a bit too low but they were tasty. We also got the pork dumplings as an appetizer which was good. For the main dish we got half of the Peking duck. I don’t know if it is just an up North thing but I like my Peking duck with cucumbers and scallions but places in the triad seem to only go with the scallions. Anyways, I thought the duck was good, and had quite a few pieces of nice crispy skin. I did think it was odd that it was served with what seemed to be Mexican tortillas not the Chinese pancakes. Once everything was all rolled up you couldn’t really tell but it threw me off at first. If I am in the area I will head back!

So far the best Chinese place I have lunched to. I am trying a new dish every time I go to check if I will get a lemon one but so far so good. A little more expensive than other place but you can feel the difference in your plate. Not very busy usually for lunch which is a plus if you want to read or not spend too much time. Service is not that fast but it’s not slow either from my experience so far. They have a large choice for their lunch special which is cool when you hate eating the same 5 dishes over and over. Not sure how much of the meal is homemade(I am always worried about chinese place, esp when you see how behave the sauce and its color). But I never felt bad after eating there on the contrary of chinese buffet and others where you feel overcharged with chemical after a lunch. Give it a try to make your own opinion :)

Food is incredible. Just hope you don’t eat when the owner is out of the kitchen talking to people. He is incredibly loud and annoying. He ruined our dinner. My wife won’t go back even though the food was great. It’s like he’s deaf or drunk talking so that everyone at the restaurant heard his entire conversation. We couldn’t wait to leave.

There are three things I miss dearly from New England: Good Seafood, Good Italian Restaurants and Good Chinese. My husband and I agree that this is the best standard fair Chinese restaurant in North Carolina. The fried rice is tender and moist, egg foo young and sesame chicken wonderful and not greasy. Prices are definitely higher and portions are disappointingly less than the any place in the area. We do intend to make this our go to Chinese restaurant for now on.

If you want authentic Chinese food made with fresh local ingredients, then you can’t go wrong if you choose Full Kee! I have been there more times than I can count, and as a vegetarian there is always something delicious to try! I can’t recommend this little local eatery highly enough.

I’ve updated my previous update, in response to Jonathan Y(of Full Kee) comments to that review: While I appreciate you taking the time to respond to my review(most restaurants do not), I must say I’m disappointed in the nature of your comments since they barely touch the aspects of your food that I did not find to my specific liking. Instead the comments are directed at what I might have done incorrectly, from the dishes I ordered, to deciding on takeout, to not understanding how your«regulars» like their food bland. And frankly, I do not need to be lectured by you on where and when food is best eaten. I eat out a great deal, and I eat takeout a great deal, and I long ago came to understand which types of dishes will«travel» well, and which will not, and I order accordingly. And if you feel that your food doesn’t travel well, you might want to stop offering takeout all together. Specifically I found: The Spring Rolls in my order had little, if any, chicken or shrimp. I looked! More than once! The Pork Dumplings were, as I said, «not bad», but they lacked flavor, and were in fact, bland. I eat this dish very, very often, and I know what I like in this dish. Shrimp Fried Rice — my comments were very specific, it is how I found the dish — another dish I eat quite often, and prepare myself from time to time. Peking Duck — again my comments were specific, and dealt with both the quality and quantity of this dish. Yet another dish I eat fairly often because I appreciate the combination of tastes involved, and the ritual assembly of the items key to this dish. And this is a dish not readily available in much of North Carolina, so I try it whenever I can. Hunan Beef — And yet again, my comments were specific. Your menu describes the dish as Hot & Spicy. I did not find it so. Szechuan Style Pork — my comments addressed the lack of flavor. That is how I found the dish. I love Szechuan dishes and often travel to New York, Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, and Charlotte to eat what I consider to be authentic dishes of this style of cuisine. Nowhere in any of my comments did I talk about the saltiness, or lack thereof, of any of the food I reviewed. I simply do not understand this comment as it relates to my review. Spiciness within the context of food is about much, much more than the amount of salt, it deals with complexity and combination of ingredients. You suggest that my problem with your food might be that I ordered the wrong dishes. I’m sorry, Jonathan, but I’ll order the dishes that I like, and if they aren’t items that I find meet my tastes, I will not order than again. And finally, nowhere in your response, did you feel the need to address the pricing or quantity of portions, and I can understand why — for the very same reason that I did mention it — it is there. And I appreciate your invitation to revisit your restaurant, but I’ll decline. Normally, I would have responded to your comments by private message, but since you attached your comments publicly to my review, I’ll simply post this as an updated review.

I have to say that this is probably the best place in High Point to get Lo Mien. The restaurant itself is more upscale and decorated with taste. The lights are dim and the service is usually great. That could be because there aren’t usually many folks there. One thing about this place is that if you are looking for a to-go order at dinner, they don’t do smalls. You have to get a large so you better have someone to share with. The prices are inflated for what you get. Don’t take this the wrong way, the food is great, however, it’s more than you would expect to spend on this type of food. I heard one of the servers saying that the chef is actually from our nations capital and that he moved here after the 9 – 11 situation. Supposedly he makes a mean General Tso’s Chicken, not sure as I haven’t tried it. Give them a try first around lunch before you spend $$$ for a large dinner entrée.
