Lowe’s Home Improvement

Always poorly understaffed, which makes all of the hard working staff appear,(to everyone waiting in checkout) to appear incompetent.

This review is specifically for the millwork department and Todd Gerock. Millwork is the department for any woodmill-​produced building construction interior-​finish, exterior-​finish, or decorative components. Todd is knowledgeable and professional. We’ve had a few hiccups with a recent install but I’m so certain he’ll stick with us to make it right I’m writing the review based on our interactions with him this far.

I’m giving this Lowe’s Home Improvement 3 stars for a number of reasons. This location is always well stocked and mostly well organized, and for that I’m giving 5 stars. However, when it comes to tracking down help, they’re almost impossible to find. I’ve been probably 10 times over the course of the past few months and I always have trouble finding a staff member to help me track down the item I’m looking for. Once I do find someone, there’s typically a line of people waiting to ask them a question. Seems to me like they need to hire a few more people for the floor. I also have issues with this store when trying to check out. Usually, there is one register open and then the option to use the self-​check out. I’m not sure which is faster… The four check out lanes seem to only work half of the time, and there’s usually only 2 out of the 4 working. Again, it seems that they need to have a better system in place for checking out and for customer service. The people you have working are worn down from having to do everything.
That being said, I will continue to shop at Lowe’s Home Improvement because of it’s products and proximity to my home.

Bought 3 gallons of paint last Sat. Came back to store to have paint counter shake the cans for me and after going down an ailse to pick up an accessory upon returning to paint counter only to find my paint is some how missing. Employees only reply «somebody must have picked it up and walked off with it.» I asked why would someone take an odd color that I had them premix for me. They replied «We have been having issues with people coming to the counter and lingering around only to walk off with others’ paint.» Really. If this is a known fact among the employees why wouldn’t you have just told me «We encourage you to wait here while we shake these for you.» Or better yet, why doesn’t management address this issue with nailing the shoplifters? Very poor customer service. Guess I will start going to Home Depot. Very disappointed.

It seems as if each time I come to Lowe’s I find that I enjoy The Home Depot more and more…
Hardly any of the stores are uniform, you cant go in and find what you are looking for easily. If you find something at a Lowe’s store and then go to another to purchase it its always an ordeal. They either wont stock that model (lighting) or the color wont be the same (flooring).
I dont know… I just get frustrated here.
This particular store is clean and the employees are typical… HATE to be at work.
