We really enjoyed our lunch at this small café just on the edge of Jamestown. Not the greatest appearence, a little worn looking and feeling — inside & out, even has a drive thru, none of which usually does not scream«You Can Get Very Good Food Here», but looks are deceiving in regards to this restaurant. The menu is fairly large — offering Rotisserie Chicken, salads, apps, lunch plates(including a daily special or two), sandwiches & subs, burgers, hot dogs, a number of Italian pasta choices, pizza, and home made desserts. They also have beer and wine, and outide seating. The Hot Dog(only $ 1.85) is very good — all beef wiener, nice chili, toasted bun. The have a special of 2 dogs, fries, and a drink for $ 6.55. The salad dressings are made in house and are excellent — especially the Blue Cheese and the Italian. The Baked Spaghetti($ 7.85 with a large house salad) is great. The meat sauce is solid, with plenty of meat, and a nice sauce, and then it is covered in cheese. This is a full meal with the salad, and often it is included as a daily special, with a $ 1 or so off. The Garlic Bread was good, as well. We also tried the CS Steak daily special(under $ 7 with 2 sides & bread) and, though definitely not an Italian specialy, it was very, very good. The steak was of good quality, texture, and flavor, and was smothered in a rich gravy — nice dish. The Fried Okra was excellent, the Pintos were just ok. Chose a biscuit as the bread choice, also very nice. Service was good, friendly, very attentive, drinks never close to empty. This is neither a date night or power lunch kind of place, but it offers solid food choices at reasonable price. We’ll be back.

Nice little place. I’ve only been for lunch but since all of their dining options are on a menu board behind the counter I guess lunch and dinner options are the same and at the same price. The food is okay. As a native New Yorker my expectations for both Greek or Italian food is quite high. What they serve here is okay but in no way should it be rated at five Unilocal stars. But hey, for the price, freshness and consistency it is fine. Personally I wouldn’t consider the Village Café as either Greek or Italian. It is definitely an American restaurant. Yes they do have a few options that have red sauce or tomato with hamburger sauce on them but it’s not that Italian tasting. To be clear these are not marinara or Bolognese sauces. The sauce is not bad, it’s just bland. When you dine here it’s not fine dining — parmesan cheese comes in small individual packets and the garlic bread is kinda like a chunk of Wonder bread lightly warmed with margarine on it. Again, I’m not complaining but trying to be fair about what diners should expect. As far as Greek food they do make a chicken wrap that has a Greek influence to it, but not what I consider souvlaki or a gyro. They do not serve a warm or carved beef or lamb option. They do not have dolmas, spanokopita or mousaka. What they do have are decent sandwiches and subs and even hot dogs and hamburgers. They offer different daily specials that from what I’ve seen are more like American/Southern cuisine than they are Greek or Italian. If they’ve ever had moussaka on the daily specials board I must have missed it. I don’t think I’ve ever seen an option for eggplant parm or anything that exotic here either. Nice place and staff. I will happily continue to frequent this place for an occasional lunch. Two Unilocal stars for the food plus one more star for the staff and cleanliness. Make merriment. Dine. Enjoy! — Brian

Talk about«Authentic»…Wow! Who needs to go to Greece? Just a few minutes with owner, Kiki, her and a taste of her diverse cuisine… and you’ll feel like you can delay your voyage! Best restaurant in the triad especially for the price point!

Best greek/Italian food ever! I went for dinner and it was so unique. The baked spaghetti changed my life for sure. Little secret, ask for feta cheese to put on baked spaghetti and add toms hot sauce. It’s the only café in NC that has this amazing sauce.

The family wanted to try something new so we tried Village Café based on Unilocal reviews. It was a Friday night and we almost didn’t stop because the place looked empty. The menu was fairly diverse and the price was good — $ 20 for a family of the three. After ordering at the counter, it took quite a while for our food to arrive. There was four other tables inside and everyone was waiting. Not sure if they short a person in the kitchen. The food was what you’d expect for a $ 20 meal for three. But they do have cornhole on the patio.

I cannot believe the quality and freshness of the food at this wonderful little café. In addition the prices almost make me feel guilty. The meat sauce is tasty and as much meat as sauce. Salads are always fresh and crisp. Please do yourself a favor and give this place a try. Family and locally owned. ANDTOMR G… I CANNOTBELIEVEYOURBADREVIEW.

My son and I had a late lunch here this afternoon. I live in Durham and he is new to High Point so based on the one exisiting review and proximity to his house we decided to try this place. We were both very pleasantly surprised! I had a grilled chicken salad which was large and had an excellent variety of fresh veggies along with a generous portion of salad dressing served on the side. My son had a cheeseburger and fries which looked fresh and well made to me and he devoured. He also had a side order of garlic bread and marinara sauce, which he enjoyed. The place is a remodeled KFC though once you’re inside you’d never know. The service is very friendly and the restaurant is immaculate. We had a great conversation with one of the owners and told her we would be back!

Hey Jason! YOU were correct this is the same Restaurant that used to be at College Village Shopping Center and the food is still GREAT! Spaghetti with Meat Sauce(served in an Aluminum«Pie tin») Meaty and thick — This is one of my Favorite Pasta Sauces! The Noodles were firm and well drained, other than that they are what you may expect. The Sauce gets very close to 5 Unilocal stars! Salad Dressing VERYGOOD! !! !!! Shake Well! They will bring it in a small lidded container so Shake it well, stirring it will not give you the full effect! This is a fairly simple one — Oil and Red Vinegar — Someone please tell me what else is in here so I can make it at home!!! Is it mustard??? I have been trying to duplicate this one for a long time. Fried Okra 5 Unilocal stars! This was the best battered style fried Okra I have ever tasted — The Batter was perfectly thin — SUPER thin! 5 Unilocal stars. Rotisserie Chicken — Very Nice Flavor, close to 4 Unilocal stars! Chicken Wrap — skip this dish! The Chicken was good the Sauce was good as in A-OK Good — we would not repeat that one! If I were comparing this food to Italian and I guess I am, this place beats most Italian on flavor at any price range! If I were comparing the Wrap here to Greek or Mediterrainan and I would NOT, they would only be getting three stars! It took a surprising long time to get our food, though It may not be typical here? I will return and see if it always takes this much time. I imagine they are usually faster and may have had a large Catering or to go order to finish. The Dinning Room has a nice feel. Located in a remodeled former KFC and they use the Drive-Through! You can see Sophia(the Model Owner) in some of the photos! Plenty of Outdoor seating too! Jason, when you come to town we’ll be eating here!!!
