Jefferson County Library – Northwest Branch

Great library, awesome services, friendly staff. The kids love it here and so do I. Soo many great things about this place. Recently we checked out a gym bag/​fitness kit. Next we might check out a telescope or cake pans. Excellent information and resources. They also faxed some stuff for me and we got a bag full of books for $ 2 at the book sale.

Super-​friendly passport service. Huge improvement over dealing with the assclowns at our local post office!
The library itself is gorgeous! Big, bright and open, it looks like a fantastic place to spend time if you’re local. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful too.

This review is for their passport service. They were friendly and meticulous, and they offer the service until 8pm. Every other place in the area stops doing passports at 4, which is highly inconvenient for those who work. Oh, you have to bring your own photo but there are about 20 Walgreens stores within a mile of the place so no worries.
Other things I liked about this place:
1. You can check out library books on your Kindle
2. Jared was one of the funniest people I’ve encountered in a long time — you can tell he loves his job and interacting with customers
3. They have at least one table with a partially complete puzzle for people to just happen by and work on. I wonder if it will ever get finished…
4. They have these cool person-​shaped chairs in the young adult section. Husband had to get a crane to hoist me out of it but it was comfy while I was sitting there.
