High Springs Country Inn

This place was nicer than I was expecting for $ 65/​night. The building is pretty old, but the room was clean and spacious, the beds were comfy, the shower was hot, and there was free wi-​fi. There were also extra towel racks and a ceiling fan, which was useful for drying our towels and swimwear after visiting some of the nearby springs. The staff were also friendly and willing to work to accommodate our late arrival and early check-​out times. This is no Hilton, but if you just need a cheap and non-​sketchy «home base» while doing outdoorsy things in the area, then this is an ideal place to stay. I would stay here again.

Normally I am a little leary of small strip style motels, but the reviews were positive so we gave it a chance and am so glad we did.
Sam checked us in and was cordial and polite. The hotel is old but well maintained. We have rooms 15 & 16. The beds are extremely comfortable, the rooms clean and very large. Wifi is more than adequate.
I would definitely stay here again and encourage others to enjoy some old style tourist accommodations (before the big chains) and support American small businesses. Keep up the good work guys!

First impression– This is NOT what it looked like in the pictures on the website!
Oh sure, the paint is the same color… but the rest of the room was not. The room was much smaller than what the picture portrayed and filthy! We were in there for about 5 minutes when we had to kill a roach that was crawling across the bed! Neither my boyfriend or I are very prissy about things like that, we understand that bugs will come in. but it was a very bad first impression. We immediately stripped the bed to check for anything else. Thankfully, it was the only one we saw for the rest of our stay.
Like some of the other reviews, we were pretty disappointed with the cleanliness of the room, hair in the sink, dust everywhere and the floor was nasty! We kept our shoes on until we went to bed and wouldn’t put our suitcases on the floor. Thankfully, we didn’t spend much time in the room.
We were determined to have a good vacation and decided that we got what we paid for. then we went to St. Augustine for our last night and got a beach front room for the same price! Won’t be staying here again!

I am sorry to have to write this review. Based on the mostly positive reviews, the affordable rates, and my preference for supporting local businesses, we stayed here last Friday. The check-​in was fine, and the host (Vic) seemed very nice. The location is good. Because we had called for a room only a couple of hours before, we were ok with it not being ready when we arrived in the late afternoon. We checked in and went to visit friends, and let the staff finish their cleaning.
When we came back that night to sleep, we were horrified to find such dirt. It had clearly not been vacuumed by the head of the bed or by the end table, or under the dresser, for a very long time. Not only was there heavy dust on the end table, but also right on the bedframe. Disgusting to sleep there. We had to dust it ourselves before going to bed. There was no light in the bathroom at all. And the worst of all, there was splattered food in the microwave. We would NOT recommend staying here.

This hotel is a great cheap hotel for divers in the area. If you are a family or expect more than a bed at night this is not for you.
Hotel amenities include clean sheets, a TV with a few channels, coffee (make with bottled water the water from tap not very good), mini fridge and microwave.
The sheets are always clean and beds are sleep-​able not the most comfortable bed you’ll ever sleep on but not the worst either.
The bathroom is tiny and if you are above 5’6″ you will have to bend to get your hair wet in the shower.
The rooms feel clean and I have never seen a bug when I have stayed there.
So fair warning you get what you pay for, but you won’t wake up with bug bites or a feeling of yuck where those sheets even changed in between guests?
So this 2** hotel on the hotel rankings gets a solid 4 star Unilocal!ranking in my book!

I love this place and I stay here pretty much every time I visit High Springs, which is at least a few times per year sometimes as many as 6 times each year.
Stayed here most recently for 10 days. Rooms were clean, staff was friendly as always, and i felt well taken care of.

Very quite place. Went down the road to the Winn Dixie picked up some dinner to grill out. We had everything we need at the hotel. If your a diver there is a nice outsie rail for drying your suits or a rinse area. Quite for sleeping at night. Very clean and affordable.

Totally immaculate, very friendly, and dirt cheap. What more could you ask for?
