Adesso

We love Adesso! We had one of our wedding registries at Adesso and the entire staff was delight to work with. If you are looking for new china, little specialty gift items and beautiful Judaica pieces — go to Adesso. And say hello to Andrea — she is absolutely wonderful. Thanks to everyone there. We will keep coming back to Highland Park!

I walked into this store about 10 minutes before they closed and told the saleswoman I would be quick because I knew they were about to close. From the moment I walked in the woman was extremely helpful and walked me over to the dinnerware I was interested in, and brought out multiple dishes that I could mix and match to complete my collection. She was extremely helpful, and even pointed out different options including colors that worked better together and how to mix between different brands I liked. She was very easy to work with and extremely knowledgable about the variety of brands and options.
I intend to return to the store in order to look at the dinnerware further. I am also planning on looking at the other brands and silverware pieces that they have.
The rest of the store (from the quick look that I got) seemed to have a lot of interesting, unique high end home pieces. There is also free two hour parking nearby in case you drive.

This store carries such beautiful and interesting home décor pieces and gorgeous dinner and flat wear. I experienced superb customer service from their staff, and assistance directly from the owner who is very talented when it comes to design and combining pieces for the optimal look. I can’t recommend Adesso enough!

You can always find the most tasteful gifts at Adesso for any special day. Looking for a wedding gift? Housewarming? Hostess gift? Something an anniversary? Something to treat yourself? I hv never gone in there looking for a gift and wound up finding spectacular and gifting myself as well. Taste level is very high.

I have always found Adesso to be the place to go to for interesting and unusual items for the home. No matter how frequently I stop in, I always notice new pieces that would look great in my house. If I’ve seen an item I am not completely sure will work in my house, I’ve always been encouraged to take it home on approval. That has allowed me to see exactly how the piece looks in place before making the decision to buy it. Also, the salespeople are very help and patient. They spent quite a lot of time working with me to have a set of dishes customized to exactly what I wanted. I would not hesitate to recommend Adesso to anyone.

On July 12, 2010, I was at Adesso in Highland Park, IL. I asked an employee for the measurements of an item. Rather than removing the item from the table display to properly measure, she tried to hold the tape measure up to the display. She told me it was 60″. I got it home and it did not fit. I called within 15 min of making the purchase. The woman then said it was actually 63″. I said I had to return the item. She told me I can only return for a store credit! I paid cash, the error was hers, and I don’t get my money back??? She said that’s the store policy– credit ONLY. I was told I would have to talk to the manager the next day.
I decided to properly measure the item myself. It was actually 78″!!! I called Adesso again. I asked the sales-​women to repeat the measurements. She said 63″. I then told her «I just measured and it is actually 78»!!! «So I assume I can now come in for my refund!» She had the audacity to still say I would have to talk to a manager the next day. I again told her it was her mistake and not mine. She would not budge. After 3 phone calls, about 5 minutes of going back and forth trying to get a refund, she says that her sales associate is telling her they can void out the purchase and I can return it. She made no apologies for their lack of professional conduct or for my aggravation due to her error.
I will never shop at Adesso in Highland Park again :)
