Pros –good selection of colors — clean environment –entertaining movie playing Cons –nail technician chomps loudly on gum while working which is distracting in an otherwise quiet environment –massage on hands is not thorough

I love this place. Décor is good, movies they play while getting your mani/pedi are good too. The best part are the no chip manicures though. I used to get them all the time from 2 other shops consistently but they always chipped(so much for paying extra for no chip), but after discovering this place, I only go here. The no chips last really long and the service is great. I appreciate the massage at the end too.

I recently went here on two occasions for a manicure both times. What I really want in a nail salon is a clean environment and this place definitely is one of the cleanest I’ve seen. They have cheaper prices Mon-Wed. I paid $ 13 for a manicure on a Tuesday and otherwise it was $ 15. The loyalty card is a nice touch. I know someone mentioned that the prices are in line for the Highland Park area, but I did find some of them high. For instance the no-chip manicure is $ 40. I am from New York and the most I’ve ever paid for this is $ 25. I am getting used to the higher costs here, but this does seem a bit high. All of the employees are very welcoming and nice. They seem to work hard to provide good service.

Pros & Cons to this place. But we will not go back and I will write why after the pro con list. Pros — Very comfortable pedicure stations and chairs — inexpensive — frequent customer card to earn free services — large selection of polishes — Pleasant enough staff — seems clean“ish” — decent job on the mani /pedi Cons — Really outdated unattractive décor — Not a whole lot of services offered. And no website… so not easy to know what is even offered? — difficult to schedule services due to communication difficulties — very quick chop shop. If you are looking for a «spa feel» this is not it. But for the price you are getting, the service is good. — THISISMYBIGGESTPETPEEVE… If you are going to speak to your co-workers, in a language the customer cannot understand, and go on and on laughing the whole time your customers are sitting there, ITMAKESTHECUSTOMERFEELVERYUNCOMFORTABLE!!! Here is the reason my we will not return. My husband and I had 2:30 appointments. They took me first and my husband waited for his appointment. A woman walked in wanting service immediately cause she didn’t have time to wait. She was told they did not have openings for another hour or so. Se was annoyed and«a bit bitchy». But they told her they would get her in right away. So my husband is sitting there waiting, while this woman walks right in and bumps ahead of him just because she had attitude and was going to leave if they didn’t get her in right away. Obviously my husband was annoyed by this. He said something to the receptionist who told him they would get him in soon. He looked at me and made it clear we are NEVER going back to Blooming Nails. Had I seen this happen at the time, I would have absolutely walked out with him and gone elsewhere. Oh well, still searching for our weekly«go to place»

Great nail place! Employees have changed since the last review and the ladies who answer the phone are great. The nail techs are detailed, do a great job, and are very nice(no crazy banter between the employees like in some nail places). They give you a quick back massage when you’re drying your nails, which I like. I would suggest that anyone avoid high traffic days — esp. Fridays — since it does get busy. Good prices for a mani/pedi, especially for Highland Park. They also have a frequent customer card so you can get a free service once you have enough points.

I’m between a 3 and a 4 on this one. Blooming Nails is almost always busy which means that people are satisfied with their manicures and pedicures and they get a lot of repeat business. The nail technicians definitely take their time and are very thorough. Part of the reason Blooming Nails is a little low on the stars is the woman who answers the phone. She’s usually pretty rude and doesn’t pay attention to your conversation. My mom tried to make appointments for us and it took 4 phone calls to get it right… I think she’s kind of young, but despite her age, it’s annoying. The salon itself is meticulously clean and has a fairly relaxing atmosphere. Prices are typical for the area…$ 15 manicures, $ 35 pedicures.
