The salon is about 45 minutes from where I live but is well worth the drive. It can be a challenge finding a salon that couples quality service with great styling. A colleague of mine recommended the salon and I haven’t been disappointed. A relaxer/​style has me in the shop for no more than an hour and a half and that was never the case with other salons I’ve visited. Jade has done a great job on my hair and recommending products/​treatments. I’ve never felt like I was just being sold something and I’ve seen my hair become healthier over the past year with her.
The receptionist is awesome and takes your coat/​bag, asks if you need anything while you wait. It sounds simple but so many salons don’t do these things and it’s appreciated. I would highly recommend this salon to anyone who asks and have been really happy with my experience here.

Prices are a little steep and the overall vibe could be friendlier which is why I stopped going here ever since someone’s car drove through the salon and they replaced the windows with weird plastic looking windows. With that said, Ashley always did a good job on my hair and I’ve witnessed the hairstylists there handle all different types of hair with ease. The salon is not kid friendly so find childcare in advance if you plan on getting any services done here.

You will definitely enjoy the salon and what it has to offer. The people here are extremely friendly. I don’t recommend this place if you’re an anti social butterfly. Someone will spark a conversation with you. They have these cute little stations marked out on the wall. Color Station, Wash Station, etc etc. I thought that was cute, In case you don’t know where you’re going. I didn’t get my hair cut, just a beard trim (tune up). Not your typical hot shave barber shop. I was told they had that over a year ago, you be great if that came back. I have to say, for most people $ 15 for a trim would be a bit pricey, however I don’t mind paying if the service is great and the people are even better.

They even do make up… I found this gem by accident and I’m sooo glad I did, I am very satisfied with the service which has been exceptional and the staff is well educated and consults with you about your hair (even natural hair) and advises you how to take care of your hair. I’ve been going here (not often enough) for a few years now and have never had a bad experience — and I usually hate going to salons! I especially appreciate that they can accommodate me whether I want to wear my hair straight or natural with no problem (thanks, Ashley!!!). Friendly staff and a beautiful space, too!

I have gone to Micheal Bianc for about one year and I have to say they have talented stylist. However the service and ambiance leaves a lot to be desired. The front desk!!! horrible… there needs to be an investment in customer service, the receptionist are rude, uninterested and not at all invested in satisfying the client.
It is also obvious that the management is very money focused and not understanding of the dynamic between a woman and her hair stylist. The ease by which the management would like you to jump from stylist to stylist is crazy. I have lived in a lot of big cities and been to lots of upscale salons but this one is as phony as it gets, it is trying too hard to be something that it is not and unfortunately in the process of doing that, it neglects the most important thing… client satisfaction on all fronts!
In case you are curious, I don’t go there anymore!
And just in case everyone is wondering, all the great stylist mentioned below Lexi, Ashley etc all don’t work there anymore. I wonder why?

Love this place. Every time I’ve come everyone has been nothing but friendly. I don’t know what I’d do without Lexi. She has nourished my hair on the way back to healthy and I have yet to be disappointed in anything she has done with my hair. The scalp treatment is awesome, especially because I suffer from dry scalp. I’ve already seen a change and its only my second visit. My only complaint would be that I haven’t heard about this place sooner. Recommending this place to all my friends.

Gotta agree with the other reviews! I took advantage of their $ 50 Unilocal coupon a few months ago.
The receptionists (not sure if it’s just one person or multiple people) are rude and incompetent. After my haircut, the receptionist didn’t know how to process my Unilocal coupon so the owner himself sat next to her to help out. Of course she brightened up and became very friendly and giggly. Eww! These immature girls make no effort to start your experience at the salon on a good note. I also called very recently to schedule an appointment and the receptionist didn’t listen to me, gave me a lot of attitude and hung up on me as well.
Jessica cut my hair and I absolutely loved it. My friend got her hair cut by Ashley and also loved it! They seem to have a talented bunch of hair stylists but crappy front desk support. If you want people to come back time and time again, hire staff who treat all customers well and who believe in your mission to make people feel good about themselves… not snobby little girls.

How many ways can I say that I love this place? When you walk in you get service with a smile, you are asked if you would like a glass of water or tea by the receptionist while he helps you remove your coat. The owners are extremely friendly and personable. My stylist Lexi is truly a master at her craft and I do not know what I would do without her. The young ladies that wash your hair are great as well. On many occasions, I almost fell asleep at the sink because of the relaxing way they massage your scalp. Lol. I can not say enough great things about Michael Bianc!

Ra has been cutting my hair for almost 10 years. He is one of 2 barbers that I allow to use a straight razor and have never been disappointed.

I am never someone who writes reviews, especially bad ones but my entire appointment I couldn’t wait to get home and explain my experience! I got dirty looks right after walking in because I was dressed down and my hair stylist couldn’t say enough about how bad my previous cut and color (which I was not there to have done) was. She didn’t say one word to me the entire cut and kept whispering about another stylist with a fellow employee. Overall the cut and blow out were fine but the experience completely ruined it for me!

Everyone was nice enough, but the stylist was terrible. My hair was washed and wet before she even looked at me. How can someone cut your hair without a dry consultation? She ended up chopping thick layers into my thick, poker straight hair. Now it just looks like a broom end. Nice people, terrible techniques.

Great, professional salon, ambiance, stylists and make up artists. When I lived in NJ, I regularly went to Dorrell who is the best stylist I’ve ever had bar none; I’ve also been to Gracie who is very good as well. I have natural hair and even though I was a client at another salon for about 10 years before I found them, it’s been in its best condition since finding MB. The experience is worth every penny — your hair will certainly thank you every day for it.

Speak for yourself about the sneers… cause I got them! I liked my sytist a lot. Ashley was great, but I personally find that some of the other stylists think that their … don’t stink! The wash girl did not wash all of my perm out of my hair so the back of my head was all burnt the F up! Styist (Ashley) gets an A+…the wash girl… not so much.

Finally a salon that doesn’t sneer when u walk thru the door with natural hair! The staff here is amazing! The beauty services are also above par. My facial was one of the best I’ve ever had. The only downfall of this salon I the price! But most things re 20% off if it’s ur first time.
