Have you ever lived in a town where you walked past a shop a million times over and finally decided to go in?
I’ve been meaning to come into this place forever! I always wondered what was behind the door of this cute house, but I just never thought about venturing in. Now that I own a house of my own, this would be my for sure go-​to place for a bird feeder.
Though they were getting ready to close, I appreciated the owner letting me and my boys take a look around without pressure.
Would I shop here again? Yes, but if I was specifically looking for a bird feeder, bird bath or bird seed. I know some people mention it’s pricey in here, but I have to say those one-​of-​a-​kind bird houses in the front of the store are really something. Beautifully handcrafted and remind me of dollhouses from the past… just for birds.
Cute, a place to go for your bird houses, and definitely independent.

If you want to attract birds to your backyard and live on the North Shore, this is the go to location. First, the goods are top quality. You may find feeders, poles and accessories at various hardware of garden stores, but they are not of the gauge and durability of what WBU sells. Second, seed comes in a variety of qualities — read the back of the package. The WBU seed is not loaded with millet filler. One of the best ways to buy seed is to take advantage of their occasional sales. They will hold the seed and you can simply take home what you need. So you get the deal without having to load up and store it.
The staff is excellent. Owner Jerry holds down the fort most of the time. But when he’s not there, he’s got an accommodating group of people who know the inventory and can provide the support you need. They’ll carry your purchases to your car without any problem.
And last, the store itself is in a funky old house and there is free parking in back for store customers. So you never have to wander around looking for parking.

Extremely pricey and Rude staff and owner! Staff screamed profanities at me when I was parking until they realized I was a customer. No customer or any human being should be treated like that over a lousy parking space. Store selection is weak and not worth your time or aggravation. Avoid at all costs, unless you like RUDE and FAKE people who only act nice if they think their getting your cash!

Nice selection of feeders and seed. Super friendly service. They will even carry the seed out to your car for you. A little on the pricey side.
