My girlfriend and I came here on a short trip to the Hudson Valley. We both love cider, so this was an obvious stop for us. We got a tour of the storage area and the bottling area and were taught about their offerings and the process that they use to create their ciders. Afterwards, we headed up to the tap room for some tastings. I’m not sure if it was because we came at an off time, but we were the only ones there so the tour and tastings were very personal and I really enjoyed it. The cider is great and you can tell that they really care about their final product. Hopefully they’ll start distributing to NJ!

The staff is EXTREMELY nice. The location was easy to get to with plenty of signs posted along the way. The overall location is quite small but well kept. The tasting portions were generous. However, it was 40 degrees — wish there was a bit of heat in the tasting room!

If you’re digging on the«farm to table» thing, you don’t get more farm to table than this! I learned from the tour that they only use apples grown on the farm in their cider! No added muckity muck makes these ciders much drier than most of the commercial ciders(you’ve been warned!) I was a little underwhelmed by the tour, but I’m going on the fact that it was raining and cold. We didn’t go outside, but we did get a little history and how it’s made type info, and the«tasting» is unbelievable — we got three 8 oz glasses! I’d go again for sure, I didn’t get to see the outside set up or the tap room this go-round, and it was a great deal!

This was a stop on a tiny little tour with some friends. I had heard/seen Bad Seed Cider but never tried it until now. We took the tour — $ 10 includes a short walking tour with history of the land and the family who own it, a tour of the facility w/the brewmaster as well as 3 cider samplings — and not a teeny, tiny glass sample — these were generous samples. All very nice. The brewmaster was ready to answer any questions and talk about the process from fresh apple to finished product. After the tour, you can sample more ciders upstairs, hang out outside and grab some food — they have picnic tables as well as a couple of corn hole games set up. It was a nice stop to hang out for an hour or so. We didn’t feel rushed and just were able to relax. Worth checking out! See you at the market

Awesome place! You get three tastings with a tour. Hang out at the tasting room before or after your tour, but it does get pretty packed after the tour ends. They do have a small menu to choose from if you want a snack. The staff is super friendly. Try a flight if you want a variety of ciders. Definitely recommend comfortable shoes during the tour as you are walking through the orchards and you are going up and down hill in some areas. We brought our 7 month old and wearing her in the carrier was easier than even trying to attempt to maneuver a stroller.

Everyone should know about this place and their awesome cider! We first found out about them at Union Square farmer’s market. We purchased some bottles and cans and loved it so much we had to go to the actual place. It’s about 1.5 hours from NYC. There’s a lot of other farm stands, wineries, etc in the area. We came right about opening time and had a flight of ciders. You can pick any 4 but if you plan to take the tour, you have 3 while on it so you can pretty much try everything. It was really great. The bartenders were really friendly and really like the cider. We took the tour with the owner/farmer’s wife. She was so awesome. We walked in the apple orchards and she told us about the process of making the cider. We love tours like this so it was great. You can bring your glass of cider with you on the tour too which is a bonus. The pints are cheap — only $ 4. The tour is $ 10 and includes three samples. The take home options are also affordable. It’s a really great deal for awesome cider. The space itself is beautiful too. They have a few lunch options that looked really yummy but there are also some other cool spots around to check out if you’re looking for lunch. We’ll be back for sure and telling everyone about this cider. It’s so good!

Found a $ 20 for 4 people Groupon and thought we would check it out early before bringing friend’s. The owner is super friendly and cute! So glad that we found this place! It is awesome! So many ciders to choose from and such a fun time! We can’t wait to come back for a tour.

We visited this place in between historic site visits. We just did one cider flight rather than a tour. The female bartender was very personable and knowledgeable. We tried four ciders: sweet(not theirs), ginger, IPC, and blueberry. Sweet was good, ginger was slightly above average. The IPC and the blueberry really just tasted like beer. We did not buy any cider.

Nice place. We arrived hot and sweaty from a long bike ride from the Poughkeepsie metro station, and they were super welcoming. We each got a cider tasting of 4 different types. My favorites were the«ginga ninja»(ginger flavored) and hopricott(apricot). We had packed some sandwiches with us and they were cool with us eating there too! The tap room was a nice space and there’s also picnic benches outside you can sit at, though it was super sunny and hot outside.

We went to visit the Bad Seed Cider Company recently to check out their new tap room. They are open on Sat and Sun. It looks like their tasting room is brand new. They offer $ 6 tour and tasting that starts at the top of the hour. Else you can sit and hangout by their tasting room to try their different types of cider for $ 9.99. The décor is nice with a pool table and bean bag throw game for visitors on the 1st floor. The tap room is located on the 2nd floor. The staff is friendly and informative. Not a bad place to drop by for a visit or for an hour and it is family friendly. Be advised they have limited hard cider products available for purchase and they aren’t cheap. In my opinion, they should offer a promotion to encourage greater sales by visitors. For instance, buy 2 bottles get $ 2 off or get $ 2 off each bottle with each tour ticket purchased. Since they are new, they should try to get some feedback from their visitors. Each feedback gets $ 2 off their entire purchase. In my opinion, they need to do something to promote in person sale. That is my 2 cents.
