I spent about 30 minutes in this restaurant tonight, while I was there I witnessed the following health violations; a girl with her hair down that was passed her shoulders, the ice machine was broken, so there was a bowl with mostly melted ice sitting out uncovered, employees walking around drinking uncovered drinks, and eating/chewing gum. Since these aren’t all MAJOR I could probably look over it if the service and food was good but unfortunately that wasn’t the case. I live nearby so I have been coming here since it opened, the last few times I have been here I have noticed a significant difference in the quality of food, but honestly I think the worst part is the fact that the owners have gotten cheap with the employees and have let teenagers take over the entire restaurant, even the managers are teenagers. The entire time I was eating the employees were goofing off, giggling, squealing, singing, dancing, texting and half-way doing their job. If I wanted to eat in a high school cafeteria, I would do that and pay a whole lot less for the food. I’ve tried to give this place a few more chances with it being so close to my house, but today was my last day eating here.

While this is not a staple in our day to day life, we do eat here on occasion for convenience. The food is reliable and the service is good. In my opinion the prices are a little higher than the quality of food justifies. The moral of the story is, if you are rich or someone else is paying this place is reliable for good food. If you are paying, you can get more bang for your buck elsewhere.

Deceptive menu and poor customer service. Recently ordered the«Mediterranean Salad» The menu had a picture of a good looking salad topped with slices of grilled steak. The description simply said«Mediterranean Salad» and the price. When I received it there wasn’t any meat. I pointed out to the manager that my salad was missing the steak and she said it didn’t come with steak. I pointed out that the menu had a picture with steak on it. She said«Well the description doesn’t say there is steak!». I walked back over to the menu and confirmed that the menu only had a picture as described, a title, and a price. There weren’t any options listed to add protein for additional cost or description of what was in the salad that excluded steak. There was a «V» underneath which if I had really cared to decode, I would have found that it meant it was vegetarian and then I could have asked the cashier to explain. Lame.

I used to love Blue Lemon, but my last three different experiences have been mediocre at best. These experiences were capped off with the awful chicken curry I had tonight. The flavor of the sauce and rice was fine, but this was by far the worst chicken I have ever eaten at a restaurant. It was chewy, rubbery and unappetizing. Needless to say, I didn’t finish the chicken. I decided when I left I won’t be back. Too much money for the small portion and the low quality food.

Come here occasionally due to convenient location. Fast causal with large seating area and they serve your food on fairly nice plates for being fast causal and they bring it out to you. Today I had the oriental salad. It has a nice variety of toppings and the dressing is delicious. Between this salad and the raspberry chicken they are my favorites. $ 9 I also tried some of my husband’s black and blue burger. My subtle flavors than I had hoped but a fairly decent size. $ 9.50 We also had the artichoke dip plate. It was an okay dip I wouldn’t order it again. I prefer the hummus plate. $ 6 for whole size plate Overall decent restaurant, kind of higher prices for fast causal. But good fresh ingredients.

The food here always tastes delicious, fresh and healthy and is beautifully presented. Tonight I had the Ahi which was perfect. I came on a bed of rice with cucumber on the side in humus, and garnished with wasabi mayo and spicy mayo. I will be back for this again.

Had the chicken curry with blue lemon rice. The rice was quite below average like it had been sitting around all day, even though we were there at 7pm. It got worse with the chicken, in the running for the most rubbery chicken I’ve eaten. Like in the bouncy ball range of rubbery. Very infrequently I don’t finish my meal, but this was one of those. However, the hummus was good and the fiery fish tacos weren’t bad.

Overall good experience. The good: The menu The staff The rib/grilled cheese sandwich was great. The not-so-good: Over-cooked, floppy green beans in the shrimp salad. Our soups were«warm» … but should be hotter than warm.

Came for breakfast and got eggs florentine. The eggs were runny and yokes only. The English muffin was straight out of the bag and cold. The overall theme is cold cold cold. Nothing about this meal was even remotely warm. The potatoes on the side were literally pulled out of the fridge cold and hard. I could get a better breakfast at McDonalds and I hate that place.

Had the Oriental Salad. It’s like they forgot half of the salad. So frustrating as I have had the salad before. There are a lot of lunch choices out there. For 9 dollars the dish should at least be consistent in both quantity and quality. My father had a turkey sandwich, so dry. Not even a pickle on the side. Worst $ 9 sandwich ever.

We really love the Blue Lemon! The food is great, the store is clean, comfortable and stylish, they have vegetarian dishes which is great, and excellent desserts. We like that they are environmentally friendly with their biodegradable cups. Employees are friendly. It’s a little more expensive than some restaurants but I think it is worth it for what you are getting.

Fun and modern atmosphere. We went for dinner on a week night and was not very busy. As we were eating several families came in so it got noisy after a bit. I had the coconut chicken curry. The flavor of the curry was really yummy but the chicken was a little dry. A friend had the salmon which she loved but the side fingerling potatoes were overlooked. My husband has the Ahi. He said it was very tender and good flavor. Liked the idea of a ‘Fast Casual’ style meal. Loved that there were a lot of healthy options to choose from.

I’ve been to Blue Lemon twice. My wife loves it. I recommend the sirloin. Also they serve red, purple and white potatoes that add a different texture to your meal. Excellent food and service. And I get a discount woth their app! Awww yaah!

This place is good for lunch. You browse the menu while queuing to the counter, order, sit, eat and leave. Not that you cannot linger after meal. I like the modern no nonsense setting. Everything looks bright and almost zen. Totally matches the food they serve here. Since I was trying to eat healthy after endless BBQ grills food this summer, I went for the Oriental Salad(also partly this is an obvious choice for the Asian in me). I normally don’t like green vegetables but when you add toasted cashews, Thai noodles, crispy wontons and sesame seeds with the boring green leaves, you get a winner like this. It was fabulous! I like how the green vegetables and crunchy stuff complement each other in every bites. My friend had the same dish and he liked it as well, although he did ask for an extra serving of dressing. I don’t blame him. The honey ginger dressing is delicious! I will totally come here again. Probably after my yoga class.

We had breakfast here last week. I had the steak breakfast tacos and they were suburb. The steak was tender and the rest of the fillings were fresh and tasty. The potatoes that were served as a side were excellent. I also had the strawberry smoothy which was delicious but was tart instead of sweet as I expected. But that was my expectation and not a criticism of the drink itself. Over all I would recommend for a good breakfast.

Like other reviews I’ve seen here, I want to give this place more stars due to the ambience and the aesthetic of the meals, but the food is honestly mediocre at best. I’ve tried everything from sandwiches to fish and pasta, but everything I get is usually cold and lacking in flavor. Now, I’m not sure if the Blue Lemon in Salt Lake is better, but as for this location, you end up with bland food that is trying too hard to be high end.

Worst customer service and pricing ever!!! I’m including a photo what $ 500 catering included. They were supposed to cater a lunch after my daughters wedding before the reception. THEYFORGOT!!! After waiting for an hour we called. The girl knew who we were when we called then we hear at her yell at someone in the back because they forgot. They hurried to put some sandwiches and salads together but said it would take a lot longer if we wanted the fruit(that was previously paid for). In the end the food finally arrived(less the fruit) 2 hours late. The guy who delivered it tried to make it sound like he was doing us a favor. Needless to say I will tell everyone I know to never go to Blue Lemon and about the horrible service we received. I wish I could give negative stars.

I really want to give Blue Lemon a five star every time I’m there, but I always seem to find reasons not to. I love this place. Great environment, good feel, healthy«tasty» menu choices. From appetizers through dinner, to desserts, I’m always wowed. Favorite dishes are the Salmon, the hummus/veggie tray, the curry(when they have it on special), the butternut squash soup, and the meal I most want to like there is the ahi. So here’s the problem. Every time I’m at the restaurant I’m disappointed by something… EVERYTIME. It’s like they just can’t fire on all cylinders: Breakfast… I’ve never been there where they haven’t burnt something and had to open all the doors to get the smoke out. Three Times!!! It’s ok in the summer, but when it’s freezing outside… This kills my «professional business breakfast». The sweet potato fries… Is it a competition to see how soggy you can make them each day. The Ahi: again the dish I want to like. Could you please charge a little more and get a little higher grade sushi. Only one time has it not made me gag. I keep getting it, because when it’s good, the flavors in the entrée combine to something amazing. Ya just gotta get the fish right!!! Love the Level Up that handles multiple cards.(Frequent diner program, download before going). Thank you for the refreshing restaurant. You have raised the standard for good food.

Butternut squash soup is my must have. The salads are killer and everything is presented well. By far the best place in the Highland/Alpine area.

I’ll give a feedback about their Blue Room. We held our office’s post-holiday party at their Blue Room. Everyone’s first time and were surprised how the place looked fancy and great. It’s a perfect venue for wedding receptions and maybe even some family gatherings or any other celebrations. The staffs are very prompt, efficient and helpful. We had a great time and definitely one venue we’ll consider for any of our personal/family gatherings.
