Classic Coney Cafe

Went here yesterday morning. Ordered the Corned beef and Swiss cheese omelette. It came with hashbrowns and toast. I had coffee with it. It was good, eggs done the way I like them. Hate when their over cooked and brown. Ordered rye toast and got white, but I pushed on. No problem. Service was real good considering it was one person covering several tables and the counter. It’s a common Coney place nothing special. But, I’d go back.

Best coney around. Food is great and you get your money worth. Potatoes (hash browns) are fresh ranch is home made among with other foods. The staff is great and friendly including the cooks. I’ve been going there for three years now and never had any problems.

I have been coming to the coney for a very long time and have always loved the waitresses and cooks there. The staff has always been welcoming and the food is great. Then I went there this past week during the evening and a short haired girl that I think has not been there long waited on me, I think her name was Brianna, I have seen her there before but she never waited on me. I was extremely mad about how rude she was. She messed up my order and when I asked for it to be fixed she acted like it was my fault that it was wrong. She also didn’t know much about the food and what came with stuff because when I asked questions she was unsure and seemed like she was guessing. She spent most of her time on her phone and talking to the cooks when my drink was empty and at the end of the table. I had to ask her more then once to get me more pop and there was only one other table in there. I don’t think I will be coming back after this because it was the worst service I have ever had!

For Breakfast: Best homemade corn beef hash around, get it with eggs or as an omelet.
For Lunch or Dinner: I love their potato soup, turkey or chicken strip pita sandwiches. My husband likes the baked on or fried fish or their nacho.
You cant go wrong with any of their waitresses.
We try to eat here at least twice a week.

Great spot for breakfast. Quick service, friendly atmosphere and good food. I’ve only eaten here for breakfast. Try the cinnamon sugar French toast or the country hash. Prices are reasonable.

Christine is outstanding she always is cheerful, friendly and gives great service! The food is always well cooked and comes out quickly with nice size portions. Will always be my favorite coney (:

A small place with decent food.
The omelets are very good, the hash browns are made in-​house which is nice too and the kitchen is wide open so there’s nothing to be hidden from the customer which I personally like.
I can only bring myself to give this place three stars because of two reasons…
The place is dirty and the service is atrocious.
The staff are very attentive to their regulars and often get caught up in conversations leaving other customers to sit waiting for coffee, the bill, or anything they may have asked for. In fact, after going here twice a month for the last year I have learned just to ask for everything I need when the food is delivered to my table because many of the waitresses don’t even make another trip back until they bring the bill… if they bring the bill before you have to get up and ask for it.
Asking them about a menu item is a big «no no» as it is apparently an inconvenience for them to answer and complaining will get you a well thought out excuse about why it is the fault of «the other girl»
I continue to go here on occasion during the week regardless of my complaints because it is convenient for me but I will not return on a weekend when the service is much worse due to higher volume of customers and hungover staff (my waitress has smelled like last nights booze every time I have eaten here on a Sunday… approx 10 times!)
