Coco’s Family Restaurant

This has been a go to restaurant for our family for many years, however the service has been declining. Unfortunately today was the last time. The waitress was not pleasant and wouldn’t make eye contact. The food was below average and utensils are always dirty!

Didn’t feel like driving to the Redlands location. Now I know not to come to this location. Slow service, it wasn’t understaffed, just unorganized. I got my food asked for sauce & a side of dinner rolls. I had finished my meal by the time it got to me. Will not be coming back.

For a chain type the breakfast here was excellent. I had the Mexican scramble with no meat. It was delicious. The service was good and the coffee was better then IHOPs. I will be back.

The pies are 5 star, the food average. It’s open late and is really close to the girlfriends house and the school I coach at so if I just want a cup of joe and some great pie, this is my spot. I’ve had a few of their burgers, steaks, sandwiches, soups, salads, and fish which are all average, not the best, not the worst. What keeps me coming back are the pies, so many variations, so succulent, so delicious. You can just pick em up and take them home. This is nice cause the place is basically Denny’s with nicer furniture. Come here for the pies or if you are hung over and need comfort food and an alternative to Denny’s.

I keep giving this place chances and excuse the slow pace as «they dont have enough workers». Not today. They had the most employees I have ever seen. And yet for some reason we waited to put our name in for seating for 15 mins without even a simple acknowledgement. Employees kept walking past us making eye contact and not saying anything. I saw the management make some gestures toward the seating line to the young lady running the register (which also was a small line!) How hard is it for the management lady to come acknowledge the guests and write down some names and numbers. We waited as long as we could until we realized the people at the tables were complaining. No reason to wait twice :/

I regularly come to Coco’s with my neighbor who today turned 80 years old. Everytime we go I am more & more disappointed. Service is, always slow, they are almost always out of some menu item & seem to always né understaffed.
We told the waitress it was his 80^th birthday & most restaurants will provide a dessert even if it is just ice cream with a candle. As a regular you would certainly think they would give him a puece of pie or something but nothing.
This Coco’s continues to disappoint us & although it is convenient & the food is generally good I personally would rather dine elsewhre.

This is my first time at this location… Im not a big fan of Cocos but I didnt wanna make breakfast. We got seated immediately and as soon as I sat down we were asked what we wanted to drink then what I wanted to order… I Didnt even get a chance to open the menu. I told the waitress to give me a few minutes to look over the menu… She came back a few minutes later. I started to order and then she asked if I was gonna get the kids anything. Well of course! What did she think I was gonna eat in front of them and not feed them? Lol The food came out almost immediatley it was very good. But the waitress had a little attitude problem and the table that sat behind me noticed as well and made a comment. I understand we all have bad days but please keep your personal problems at home… your attitude reflects your Tip and with that being said your attitude is a real Zero! I would be back but dont wanna sit in her section.

Cocos is one of my favorite places to go eat at but this location off on Arden and highland has poor service. I was extremely disappointed that our waitress NOT ONCE came to check on us after dropping off our food and the receipt (that by the way I happen to find on the table) they were not busy we happen to go by during lunch time. I’m not the type of person who makes a scene so I just paid for our meals and told my family next time we’ll drive a little further to cocos on waterman, at least they refill your drinks there! And yes we would of loved to get one of their pies to take home but like I said she never came back to ask if we needed anything else we even had to help ourselves with some napkins on the table next to us. P. s. Not the first time this location had a poor grade in my book.

I prefer Redlands location due to the extreme snail pace that this cocos seems to run at but the food is typical cocos, no complaints about that and the pies are great :) breakfast here on occasion when a friend requests it, I get the pacific scramble w sausage instead of bacon it’s good has spinach tomatoes onions and best of all, mushrooms :) only come here if you aren’t in a hurry;)

If you go in the mornings, be prepared for a long wait unless no one else is there. They are grossly understaffed. Food is fair, just what you expect in a chain restaurant. I go because there are few choices for lunch in the area. Dont go unless you are prepared to wait though coz even at lunch they take a long time, 3 outof 5 times.

food is pretty good. i always get the burritos. they have wifi too, which is a plus

I’m giving this review a full 5 stars based upon food, quality & service. Upon arrival myself & my family were immediately greeted then seated by a very kind gentleman. Our waitress Leeana was very attentive, friendly & courteous throughout our visit. Making sure we had everything we wanted & needed, our drinks never went empty. Our food arrived promptly fresh, hot & exactly as ordered.
The San Fransisco sourdough burger was absolutely amazing as was my husbands California chicken ciabatta & my sons Coco original burger was cooked to perfection! The seasonal peach cheesecake pie was heavenly! Something was very different about this visit compared to a prior (bad) experience we had here & this brings the reason for my extensive review.
The 5^th star was given for the manager Amber, thumps up to Coco’s for tidying up your management team! It really made a difference on the whole restaurants ambiance! I know there is very few people who show appreciation or even say thank you, so this is my way of saying thank you for a wonderful dinning experience tonight, we will definitely come back soon!

Enjoyed the banana walnut pancakes. Servers were great. Fast friendly service. Beautiful restaurant. Defiantly will revisit.

Was with a party of 6 and it took at least 45 minutes for our food to come out. Service is extremely poor here. The funny thing is that the food is even worse. The Works appetizer plate looks nothing like the picture and it looks like they threw a bunch of frozen food on the place and put it in the microwave for a few minutes.
Horrible experience. Glad I live nowhere near here.

They are a good restaurant for the type. The service was good and the food was served hot. They really did not do much to really make the visit memorable, but it does beat most Denny’s Restaurants I have been to, so it is a better place to go than Denny’s.

I am a fan! Buddies and I stopped by on our way home from Big Bear, and I was pleasantly surprised at the service! The waitresses and waiters were welcoming, and patient. They had an extensive knowledge of the items on the menu, and they were really good at coming by to check if we needed anything.
I had the steak and eggs with breakfast potatoes… deeeelish! The steak was actually cooked well for a diner/​restaurant like Coco’s!
I wish I could have stayed for dessert :(
Ample parking, lovely service, pretty decent food. I wouldn’t mind coming back, if it wasn’t so far away!

Just an OK… place to eat.
I get their sugar free apple pie.
I love their quick prime rib specials.
I love their crab leg specials.
I go here often when I want to work on my computer or iPad as they have FREE wifi.

Coco’s IS a chain restaurant and like many chain restaurants, it is predictable but this one is definitely dependable.
My family has been regularly coming to this Coco’ since two years ago so we’ve seen the change in their service, restaurant layout and in their menu… and we like what we’re seeing!
Service– Used to be very bad but now it’s TOP NOTCH! I don’t know what made the manager realize that the service was bad before but they got an upgrade! The servers are very courteous and helpful when you have questions concerning the menu… and are fast in their service! I don’t know what other people saw or heard but when I dropped in the last couple of times, the employees were hospitable.
Restaurant layout– Very clean and appealing to the eye! I like the new color palette of the walls… it makes this Coco’s feel like home. One thing that probably needs improvement is the legroom… my dad, who’s 6’2″, was feeling very squished and I even felt kind of cramped in the booth.
Menu– Like the changes to some of the entrees and love the new lighter options! I especially enjoy the special menus they offer like the Strawberry centered one. The tastes of the foods on the menu is also different in a good way… it’s more sophisticated than the old version.
Overall, I AM a fan of this new and improved Coco’s! Keep up the good work!

Coco’s is always good… not great but it’s good :)
The service at this place is a lil bad, the employees kinda complain about their job or customers and think we can’t hear them.
the food is good, I love their honey oat bran muffins.

It’s your average Cocos but I wanted to compliment them for their service. We often go just down the street for soccer games and we hit this cocos for breakfast in between games. They took our order quickly and the food came out in decent time and tasted good.
