I called to schedule an appointment and spoke with Dalton. He was very professional and I was looking forward to meeting him, as he is the same one who provides the services.
The day of the move, I called the JL Services number and left a message about 10 minutes before our scheduled appointment just to confirm that they would be arriving shortly. I received a phone call back about 15 minutes after their scheduled arrival time. They said that they were on their way, but had a family emergency and were going to be a bit late. Thankfully, I had my Dad and boyfriend (not to feed the female stereotype, but I’m about worthless when it comes to moving) with me to help get started, as I only had the elevator to my 28^th floor unit for 3 hours.
The movers ended up showing up 2 hours late. They were extremely apologetic upon arrival and offered to help with what we had left free of charge. What we had left ended up being one elevator load and about 30 minutes of labor. I paid them for what they did end up helping out with even though they insisted I didn’t need to; regardless, I’m very thankful that we got started without them because I don’t know what would have happened had we lost our spot in the loading dock and used up all of our reserved elevator time waiting for them to show up.
The work that the guys did provide was extremely fast, careful, and professional. I completely understand that sometimes life happens and that’s, unfortunately, what happened to these guys the day that I needed to move.

Great service, low price and fast, they moved our furniture and they took apart and put together some IKEA stuff fast, they used their own truck to move our furniture for only 20 $ extra, gas included. They are polite and accurate with their timing and prices, they gave us an exact extimate ahead of time, and they get paid at the end of everything. We also asked them to take some heavy things to the dumpster which they did. They also covered the furniture while moving it. Highly recommended and we will definitely use their services again. they cover maybe all Detroit metropolitan area. I might use their cleaning services in the future as well.
