It’s kind of out of the way. It took me a long time to try it. I was missing out because it’s really good. They have the best ruebens around. Good prices. More than enough food.

I have not eaten here in over 20 years and they still have the same great favorites I remember. The sandwiches made by hand with the same delicioius offerings. The fresh made pies daily and the soup are all exactly the same. Just the way I remember.

This place may not look like much from the outside, but do not let that influence you. The prices are great, and the sandwiches are excellent. I tried the Bunny Girl sandwich: ham, melted Swiss cheese, mayo, tomato, and lettuce on French Bread. What a great sandwich it was. Nice and flavorful and less expensive than the brand name sandwich shops. The menu is extensive, with a huge choice of sandwiches. And they have pie for dessert! This is a good place to visit. You won’t spend a lot of money here, and the food is worth it.

Simply the best. You order at the counter and then pickup your meal when called. Reasonable prices for great homemade sandwiches and pies. Lincoln’s is one of the few select establishments that you should go out of your way to visit!

Pretty good sandwiches with a good price point. The place is kind of an institution because it’s been here for a long time. The inside looks like it, nothing has really been updated and it is reminiscent of an old cafeteria in a way. They have sandwiches and pies are a big thing here too. The pie piece I had(Lemon Cheesecake) was just okay. It’s a region thing for sure, if you are not from the area you might not get it. I didn’t grow up nearby so it’s not my fave place but my hubby grew up in Hammond and LOVES it.

I remember eating at the Calumet city location when I was little. Now I live out here and it’s just like old times. Love your sandwiches. Cal city special or us steel. Even the classic… The best!

I use to pass up this place because at the time it was cash only. My mom use to bring us lunch all the time from them. So good! Now that they take cards, I kept going more and more. Delicious food and great people :-D

Cream of Chicken noodle soup was good. Got the corned beef sandwich. Forgot to order it with cheese, that’s my fault. Doing it again I’d probably order with extra mustard. Not raving about it today but I’ll give it another try.

I enjoyed Lincoln’s as a little girl with my grandparents(who are dead) RIP and I LOVE Lincoln’s homemade pies. It is the BOMB! Especially the chocolate pies. Brings back childhood memories in Illinois and Gary Indiana with my grandma. I ordered the sibley special.

Never had a bad sandwich here or at the location where I grew up in Calumet City which is long gone now. The cal city special is just the perfect meal. Great fresh pies too. Cheap prices What’s not to love?

I heard this place was the original and or was the original really in the southwest suburbs? In any case, I noticed that my sandwich(corned beef sub) is never made correctly out of the 8 times I went. The location has plenty of staff and they appear to be very young so I’m really at a loss as to why they can’t get it right. But because I love the bread(probably Torrano Bread) I decided to see if there was another location closer to my home in Schererville Indiana. Fortunately, I was in luck. There was one in crown point Indiana and out of 5 – 10 times, they got the right every-time.

A great place to enjoy a homemade sandwich and some soup. The pies are out of the world. I ordered the Cal City Special and the chicken vegetable soup. My boys always get the grilled cheese sandwich. They love it. This sandwich shop is a hidden gem in Northwest Indiana. I highly recommend it. #SenorFood

Get the cal city club!!! Its soooooo delicious! My bf and my family really like the cheeseburger that they have. I feel that the building needs an update. It’s very outdated, but either way i obviously still would go lol.

I have been a customer of Lincoln’s since their original locations 40-odd years ago. Imagine my delight when I found out one of the original owners was working the counter one time when I was in there and she and I had a brief chance to reminisce about the old days. If your looking for atmosphere, this isn’t the place. The dining room is institutional and almost dumpy, but the food more than makes up for it. Homemade pies, great sandwiches and homemade soups hearken me back to the old days of Lincoln’s. So glad they have decided to accept debit/credit cards, as I often passed them by in the past for lack of cash in my wallet!

Another time that Unilocal saved my but. Had a car break down in this area. Had no clue where to stop for lunch. This place has got to be one of the most adorable deli counters I have ever been too. It’s pink inside. I mean everything is pink! Floors, walls, booths. There’s fake flowers and charming art on the walls. Retirement home cafeteria chic. They have a good selection of sandwiches and homemade pies. Place was full of old people, regulars, and police officers. That’s how you know you’re getting a decent sandwich. I opted for the Bunny Girl, which is ham and swiss and is lightly toasted to melty perfection. Totally reasonable prices. One of those moments where I felt oddly at home and wished this was closer to my house. Great lunch spot!

Whoever thought of putting bacon and boiled eggs on tuna is a genius. Can’t say much for the interior, but it’s got its charm. The counter help is always friendly and good for a kind word.

I have been eating at Lincoln’s my whole life. Literally, for the past 11,687 days. Yes, but seriously my family always ate at the Cal City location, pretty much every Sunday. They closed and reopened in this location. I finally ate there a couple of weeks ago. My dad and I ate in the restaurant and took food to go for two other people. The total was twenty dollars. Put that in your pipe and smoke it. I have not eaten red meat in several years; however, the burger used to be my favorite item on the menu. I recently had the eggplant parmesan sandwich and I now declare it to be my new favorite menu item. The people working the register aren’t super friendly, but oh well.
