I really like this Lowe’s and am a frequent customer. They provide good customer service and I always feel comfortable shopping there. I ordered a washer/dryer a while back and although the original installer they were using wasn’t too customer focused and was a bit rude, as soon as I let Lowe’s know that I was not happy with this person they immediately addressed my concerns and rectified the situation. They installed the washer/dryer on time and the guys that did the installation were friendly and professional. I also really like the associates in the store. People approach you and ask if you need help and they all seem to go above and beyond. It seems like the people who work there really like their jobs and enjoy assisting the customers. Shopping there is a very positive experience and I prefer Lowe’s to the other home improvement stores that are not too customer focused or helpful.

Normal place ran out of hardwood pellets so we figured we would try out lowes. Terrible service so far. Waited couple of days after purchase to get call for delivery, and nothing, so we went to the brick and mortar to make an appointment for next week. Then coincidentally after returning home, wife gets the call that they can come the next day. Weird miscommunication, but sure why not. Delivery comes and they refuse to bring in pellets bag by bag(our normal place–«home and hearth» does this without even asking. So that’s annoying, but ok, whatever. Then he scans over the entrance of the garage lip and says that might be a problem. I stay silent, as I’m thinking he was just talking to himself regarding getting forklift/pallet in. So he pulls up his huge forklift, which wouldn’t be able to fit into garage, and tries to get the pallet in as deep as possible, but the weight leads to cracking the concrete lip of the garage door. I show the guy and he said manager will contact us. He calls the next morning(today) to tell us someone will come and take pictures. Two people come including the one that did the damage, and take a couple of shots on their phone then leave. Then later in the afternoon, manager calls my wife and says the guy warned us about the lip and I said«it’s ok»(complete and utter lie) and my wife said I didn’t say anything, so the guy offers 10% off the purchase so we can get some concrete and fix it. That’s 10% off off the pellets only. Not including the terrible delivery service. So yea, thanks lowes, for the $ 28. Plus the hour loading the 40lb bags of pellets myself. Plus the time and labor in getting the concrete, then having to fix the damage myself before it starts to snow. Wretched.

We spend a lot here but occasionally the former manager would handle issues and returns without incident. Clearly there is change for the worse and customers like us who spend thousands should go elsewhere for more flexible policy. Today they saw fit to argue with us over $ 6 in commodity electrical outlet boxes. Really? The young girl at the desk copped an attitude. Then a manager came over and miraculously took a few more items than she. But alas cited the store managers policy and again left us walking out over a few dollars. So we went and checked the items and sure enough they were stocking items right there in their bulk bins in electric. Why stick it in your customer and then waste your time with a twist! Such poor service and a poor behavior. The store was not even busy. Last time Lowes let this happen our secretary had to write a letter to corporate. After much complaining corporate gave us $ 25 over a $ 12 commodity item return issue. The orange guys and the true guys would never waste their labors time arguing over such petty nonsense. I’ll ask Unilocal to remove this review if lowes ever handles this issue. 2600902 Corporate has received a letter and is looking into the employee issues at the store. Update, another employee sees my side and credited me. You see, its not the company, it is the employee you get. That makes or breaks it. You can’t blame a corporation for everything. Usually it’s someone who caused the issue. Revised to 4 stars for the good thing their guy did.
