The Silver Bone

I will never take my dog there again. Awful and unapologetic. Terrible customer service.

Love the Silver Bone! We followed them from their other location in Highland to their new spot on Milford Road.
Over the years we have taken three, big dogs to them and they always come home looking great. They enjoy going there and the staff there has never had any issues with them. (Our mastiff can be a little skittish…)

Love their service but the place always smells like smoke as does my heavily perfumed dog. Looking for another groomer unfortunately.

We have gone to the Silver Bone for years and been happy with their staff, service, and pricing. They had always been attentive and felt comfortable leaving my pets with them.
We were in today. My Pit/​Pointer had the same eye gunk on his face tonight as when I dropped him off this morning. It cost $ 30 to just give him a bath, no brushing, no nail trim, and they sent him home damp.
The cost of my Shiba /​Shepard went up dramatically (¹⁄₃ more) from last year and he is more than damp. They did not know my dog’s name or what services had been completed when I inquired about the total.
I am not sure if they changed staff or owners, or what, but I will be looking for a new groomer. I had been so happy in past seasons.

It was hard to find a groomer that actually knows how to «Hand Strip» wire coated dogs. Most groomers these days just don’t know how or it’s too labor intensive or it’s just easier to use clippers… etc.
But the Groomers at Silver Bone know that a Hand Stripped coat will never be the same after a couple clipper buzz cuts and I’m glad they take their time to do it right from the start.
The owner was very informative and told us exactly what to expect, she also didn’t mind spending time with our puppy to get him used to the whole grooming process and really working with him to make it an enjoyable experience.
Whatever she did really worked because our pup LOVES going here now. We live close to an hour away and our puppy acts like it’s Christmas morning the whole car ride there.
