What a great place to start or finish your visit to the Walkway — and worth a trip even if a walk isn’t factored in. Serving breakfasts and lunch, the breakfast menu is available all day. In addition, the lunch menu is incredibly creative with fabulous specials offered. Need a substitution? No problem, it will be provided with a smile. Oh, major point, the food is delicious! But you may never make it to order breakfast or lunch as the owner’s(Ann Marie) baked goods may seduce you first. Farm fresh ingredients, plus her very special touch as a baker and this is a place you may have to visit every day! Gluten-free items available and she will bake to order! Plus you can walk off guilt of indulgence afterward!

Cute little café near the Walkway Over The Hudson. Service wasn’t amazing, but we didn’t have to wait very long for our food. I ordered two hot dogs, I was surprised that they were definitely deli hotdogs with natural casing. My wife had a chicken Caesar wrap, which she liked. The quesadillas looked good, and I would detry that if we come back again.

A very extensive menu; I could hardly make a decision but the wrap I chose was excellent with fresh ingredients. Clean dining room and an attentive staff add to the enjoyable atmosphere. Dining inside and out. I will be back.

Husband and I decided to stop in for a quick lunch after our walk over the Hudson. The food itself was ok, but I found the workers were a bit disorganized. There were two young girls working behind the counter… and then there was a middle aged heavy set lady with a dirty apron on supervising them and writing down orders. We sat down, and eventually one of the young girls brought my sandwich over. We waited, and my husbands salad was nowhere to be found. My husband went up and asked about it, and it appears they forgot his order. The older woman was a bit rude and said«we will get to it»…that’s not something you say when you screw up an order. I also witnessed this woman go To use the restroom WITH her apron on!!! Wonder what the board of health would say if they saw that. Nasty. Won’t be back.

Just had lunch there with my wife and I’ll start out on a positive note. The wraps were extremely fresh and a good size, aside from that it was a letdown. Extremely slow service both while ordering and then waiting on the food. We got two wraps and they came with just to pickle slices no chips or side salad or fries. We ordered potato salad with the wraps as a side and it never came(luckily they took it off the bill after we mentioned something at checkout). The homemade ice tea was okay but all the ice was melted at the drink station so it just watered down the ice tea more when you added the remaining ice cubes left over. To top it all off it was on the expensive side. $ 2.50 per ice tea in a red solo cup size cup. Yes there were free refills but I didn’t even want to finish my first one. At the end it came to around $ 25 dollars for two ice teas and two wraps(no sides). Meal should have been closer to $ 20. This just seems like a tourist trap for NYC people coming to the walkway over the Hudson.

Very, very expensive and overpriced. I stopped by in July for the first time, and got some brownies. Delicious! Throughout the next couple weeks, I stopped by occasionally and saw the same brownie batch dwindling… Those brownies should have been trash after a few days! In August, I decided to get another brownie because they were so delicious. and they brought me a stale, crumbly brownie. Disgusting. I’m just assuming it was from the same batch as the first brownie I had was. I also ordered a zucchini cake, and to my surprise, it was also stale! I ordered one of my favorite wraps the second time around, and received it without walnuts and dressing, yet I ordered it with everything on it. If they didn’t have the walnuts and dressing in stock, the least they could do is notify me. I would recommend this place for the first time only! Do not go back, you will be disappointed!

Not that great. Overpriced, bad service. You can tell those people only care about the money not pleasing customers

This off-the-beaten-path deli /café is great. The food is excellent, and at a fair price. My wife and I have enjoyed many breakfasts, lunches there. I hope this café survives.

Four of us were here last weekend an arrived shortly before closing. Staff was friendly, did not rush us to finish, all was great. They make a nice sammich! And, accessible from inside, is an ice cream parlor at the other end of the bldg.(20′) DEFINITELY on the itinerary for next time.

Stopped by last week after passing it a number of times. The place is bright and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had wraps and heroes from a fairly extensive menu. The«grilled» veggies in both were too oily and slightly overcooked. The hero bread was soft rather than slightly toasted the way I like it. The potential for even better food is there and I plan to visit again soon.

Very good! Convenient. Tasty. We stopped in at the end of the day. The service was very good. Nice friendly and helpful(had little ones). I like the style. It was clean. We like to keep our reviews on the positive. If you Dont have something nice to say why bother? Besides you may not know this but negative reviews actually boost Google traffic to web sites. I had a hanger steak special with avocado that included a fresh pesto of cilantro and the steak was cooked perfect with a little crust on the outside and tender juicy inside. Then ice cream for dessert. Janes ice cream was also excellent!

This is my second attempt at trying to eat here. This time I ordered the Cali wrap. Avocado in the wrap was not ripe and solid as a rock. The chicken was fresh out of the fridge and again solid as a rock with no flavor. I couldn’t finish it. I did bring the avocado issue up to the person cashing me out and she said, «I know.» Personally I would rather wait a little bit longer to get fresh made to order food rather than precooked chicken out of the fridge. I did appreciate the large variety of beverages and fresh baked goods

went to the café based on all the good reviews. Worst chicken parm sandwich I have ever tasted. Was lukewarm and the sauce was tomato paste from a can. I will not be going back.

Been here for breakfast twice and lunch once. Had the breakfast sandwich with italian sausage both times for breakfast, once with cheese, once without. I recommend without, unless you are a big fan of Kraft singles. The sausage is great though, and the homemade ciabatta is soft and chewy. For lunch I got the italian combo, which has your standard selection of italian cold cuts on a half a hero. It was tasty, filling and priced well for the quality. You help yourself to drinks from the coffee area or the cooler case(which has a wide selection) and then pay for everything together at the end. The only reason I subtracted one star was for the people who run the café. Maybe it’s just that they are swamped with business, but everyone I’ve interacted with has been terse to the point of almost being rude. Yeah, I realize you have more orders to take and plates to run out, but if you are taking my order or ringing me up, the least you could do is return a smile when I try to be friendly. Maybe it’s expecting too much to be recognized when I’ve been in 3 times in a week, but a little good humor would go a long way.

Breakfast, lunch or early dinner; this place rocks! Everything is fresh, creative and delicious. Go for a walk on the Walkway Over the Hudson and then settle down for a panini, a burrito or a wrap. My fave is the veggie wrap: grilled veggies, baby spinach, roasted red peppers, cheddar cheese and hummus(they will customize for you as well). On the way out there is no way to resist Anne Marie’s awesome baked goods. She makes amazing scones and banana cream pie to die for! Her chocolate chip cookies are legend, but I’m not a cookie person(what can I say?). I haven’t been here for breakfast yet, but I’m all in for some of the«Italian breakfast classics» on the menu.

What a great find right by the Walkway Over The Hudson. Best breakfast and great bagels from Saugerties. Ann Marie is quite the baker with a great local pedigree. You must go.

Stopped in for a breakfast special this morning. Homemade biscuits with sausage gravy and eggs. Simple and tasty! Eggs were fluffy and not overdone in the least. Banana cream pie was excellent. Pretty sure even the whipped cream on top was made by hand. Also nice strong coffee. My friend has been secretly hoping for a good cup of coffee to open up next to the ice cream place for over a year now. An easy stop after visiting the walkway! ****Edit: still 5 stars! Many revisits later glad to say consistency has remained steady. Lunches are just as tasty as breakfasts. The mozz stix foto I posted has graduated from special to regular menu item! Ask for them anytime around lunch!

Great place right by the walkway. Stopped by for a bagel. Grabbed a few cookies to bring home, they are homemade and awesome. Went back that night for the moon walk on the bridge and went to dinner. Great soup and chicken parm hero. Nice people, super clean and inviting place. Give em a shot. Great little place to eat.
