Wolverine Mixed Martial Arts Training Camp

Coach Carlos is seriously one of the best coaches i’ve ever had. He has a way of motivating you to work harder but not make you feel like crap and belittle you. Always willing to answer questions that you have and not to mention he is always doing tons for the people who train with him and the people in the community. Definitely a person I look up to.

I’ve trained at many schools in Southern California, but for the Inland Empire Redlands/​Highland/​San Bernardino/​Loma Linda/​Colton area you will not find better Muay Thai instruction for both youth and adults. It is a positive, clean, learning environment and the will help you meet your fitness or fighting potential.

If you are in the San Bernardino Area this is the gym you should go to. Run by Carlos Quilon, it’s family friendly and very in depth to Kickboxing as well as Mixed Martial Arts as a whole. Regardless of your goals (weight loss, self defense or competition) you will be very well prepared among a helpful team.

This is my favorite gym to go too. The atmosphere is always positive and such high energy! The instructors are awesome and love taking time to explain things and the way they work. I love how every time i come here someone is puking from an insane workout! Plus the jiu-​jitsu instructor is very talented and great with kids! I would recommend anyone and everyone to this place!

I went to only 2 classes at Wolverine. I had been training at Adrenaline for several months and in my first class at Wolverine I was shown how I had been slipping wrong. So helpful!
They have a great, small facility and knowledgable trainers. Carlos was extremely friendly as well. The only reason I did not sign up there was that the conditioning was too brutal for me. I am no longer a teenager and work 12 hour shifts at night which severely impairs my recovery ability. After the second class, my legs were sore for a week.
I would love to go to this gym if the conditioning didn’t drive me into the ground.

My grandson was being bullied at school so I brought him to Wolverine. Carlos (the owner) was very understanding and encouraged my grandson to try any and all of the classes for a week without charge. He did so and really enjoyed the Muay Thai and MMA. After 4 weeks, he is making good progress and really getting in shape. He is 16 and has a much healthier outlook on life already. I have watched as Carlos gives individual instruction to every student as well as the whole class. As a public school teacher for 20 years, I can tell you this man is a great teacher and loves his work and loves these kids. I couldn’t recommend him any higher!

This place is horrible. The management and owners are sketchy people. Don’t trust them.
Several months ago I decided to stop in and inquire about their program as I needed to get back into shape. That was around January 2011.
While exiting my $ 80,000 dollar car… BMW 760li… I got a very important phone call. So, I stood out front of the gym and looked in while five or six guys rolled around on the mat and did some training. The phone call was going into it’s tenth minute.
This dude interrupts my phone call by saying in a stern voice! CAN I HELP YOU? I said or you the owner?
Heck I need to speak with the owner… or at least someone with muscles.
Then…NO…you can not help me! I began to continue to talk on the phone. Standing in front of my car. This guy goes… ARE YOU SOME KIND OF SPY FROM ANOTHER CLUB… SPYING ON US! (THIS IS WHAT THIS GUY IS THINKING… I AM SOME G RATED MOVIE STAR FROM GOONIES)
What the FREAK, are you talking about??? A SPY. Dude, I am 43 years old… I do not have time to PLAY SPY GAMES!
I was there to pay thousands of dollars to join this new place close to my home… and then this non owner… just a member comes out and thinks I am some spy from the camp that wants to defeat the KARATE KID… in some G Movie.
Do yourself a favor and don’t come here.
I did call and speak to the owner after doing some extensive background on the place. He was a bit sketchy… stated they had a bunch of hoodlums in his parking lot. Well… I clearly was in an expensive car… plus I live in the area and have known the building to have been closed for years, but never in disrepair or with hoodlums in the lot. How do I know… I inquired about renting the building a few months before the MMA studio went in.
He said he would talk to his customers about… attacking future customers on their cell phones… outside…looking through the window.
I was prepared to spend thousands… on my quest to get back in shape. The very next day I hired a personal trainer… bought and upgraded my home gym equipment. I work out five times a week and in great shape…
That was a blessing in disguise.

I been training with Carlos Quilon for two years and he is one of the best trainers out there. If you are looking to get in shape or looking to fight, Wolverine MMA is the place to be.

Owner, Carlos Quilon, is an experienced trainer who is extremely patient with his students. His passion for the sport is evident in more ways than one.
When I first came in to Wolverine MMA Training Camp, I was nervous because I had never had any prior martial arts training and was intimidated. Carlos quickly welcomed me in. I was given a schedule of the classes offered and started attending the cardio kickboxing class. Wow! This class was tougher than anything I had ever done. I’m a runner and can run up to 10 miles with ease… but this class made me feel completely out of shape! It’s such a different type of workout that challenged muscles and parts of my body that were obviously neglected. I fell in love with the class and was hooked! I tell every one of my friends that they NEED to come! I encourage anyone to try this type of training! You can come and see if you like it for a week or so without having to sign a contract!!!
And they have kids Muay Thai classes too!
