The food was good and the staff was very nice. But it was a little pricey for what we got, and the staff yelling«hot soup» every two or three minutes got really annoying. Update: In response to the comment about yelling«hot soup» as a safety mechanism. I understand the inherent reason for it. I’ve worked at several restaurants and there was always a method to entering/exiting a kitchen to avoid collisions. Whether it was verbal, or simply procedural. It’s a necessity. However, the manner in which it is conducted at Zoup is as much, if not more, done as a novelty than from a safety perspective. Example: it is a simple call and answer of «hot soup,» the person yells it very loudly in the direction of the dining room when removing the soup from the steam table, after which a person not in any line of traffic answers«hot soup» in an equal volume also in the direction of the dining room. There are much better ways to do this and have an equal effect of safety. Please just Keep in mind this whole thing is really not a big deal, it just a minor annoyance. I just wanted to clarify what I meant. Your soup is good and the customer service was excellent, let that be what makes your business successful and leave the gimmicks out.

Great soup! Stopped on a cold January afternoon and purchased a quart of Lobster bisque and Chicken Pot pie soup. The staff was very friendly and gave you as many samples as you wanted. Two rolls are included with each quart. Very good bread. The only reason I gave four stars was $ 28 for my purchase. Very pricey soup, but good. The Lighthouse and Cooper’s hawk restaurants should buy their lobster bisque soup from here. Nice and thick, and full of lobster!

I was excited when I first learn a soup and salad place was going to open near us. We tried Zoups and I was not impressed. The soups and salads were average and over priced. The cashier even comment us that she was glad we were paying with a credit card because she was not real good with dealing with cash. We will not be going back.

Nice to have a new options for lunch in this area. Stopped in yesterday and we were greeted by very enthusiastic workers. They were very knowledgeable about all the soups and helpful. Very willing to allow you to try the soups prior to ordering. I got the crab bisque which was pretty good and a pesto grilled cheese that I could’ve passed on. My boyfriend got the Mexican chili which he liked and the vegetable soup which I tried and it was okay. I probably will stop by again to try a different soup. But whole foods down the street has me won over. At this place it’s the wonderful customer service.

Good place for lunch. Can sample as many soups as you want. I got a side of the chicken tortilla with a wrap. Quick service. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the food. Only complaint I have is they need someone coming out to clean the dinning area more.

Great service. Variety of fresh soups. Food was pretty good. Way overpriced though. Paid over $ 11 for a side of soup(it’s 99 cents to upgrade to a cup), half a tiny sandwich and a small drink. Great snack, but I’m still hungry.

I would give this place 2 stars for their food, but their service was pretty good, so I’ll give an extra star. Unfortunately, the soup and wrap I had, lacked flavor. I tried a few samples of the soup, and the soup was lukewarm. My Mediterranean chicken wrap tasted so bland. The wrap itself tasted cold and stale. The chicken was dry. The only thing I liked was the tszaki sauce.

Great new concept. .clean and well put together. .offering an array of soups, sandwiches and salads. service was quick and efficient. Many choices including gf. and low calorie. Combinations are reasonable. My cashier Raven did agreat job at explaining all of the choices. she greeted not only me but everyone with a sencered smile. Food was hot, tasty and quick but service was awesome..

Zoup! Has a very pleasant and upbeat vibe! The soup was amazing and the people very friendly! However the order was made wrong but it was very busy! Check your food before leaving or biting into it !

I was very impressed with the new fast food restaurant in the area! They offer many delicious soups. One great thing, while in line you can try their daily soups. I tried the fiery enchilada soup! It was very good but I ended up getting the chicken pot pie! It was very good. I made my lunch into a combo and got the turkey sandwich. My wife ended up getting the Cobb salad with the white chicken chili. She said it was really good. The only thing I see that it might be a problem for the area is the prices on the combos. The parking are is very limited. If you are looking for a great soup, sandwich and salad this is your place! Enjoy! #SeñorFood

Vast selection of different soups on rotation with free samples to help pick. They provide hot sauce for those craving more spice. Portions are a bit small for the price, so you’re paying for the variety. A unique place in the area for a quick bite to eat.

I want to say that I have now eaten at this Zoup location 3 times. Beginning with my first visit, I can tell my fellow Unilocalers that the soups are hearty and delicious! The soup is piping hot and complemented with a freshly baked role, it absolutely hits the spot! My favorite soups so far are the Corn and Crab Chowder. Wow! Delicious! I also have tried the Pot Pie soup, which is another big hit! And, finally I have had the Lobster Bisque. Superb! Now, here is something else that is subtle, but important for value. Have you ever been to a place that serves soup or chili and when they hand it to you, it’s maybe ¾ full? Like they measure it by the ladle and will absolutely make certain you will get no more than you deserve? Ha! Not so at Zoup! The soup is delivered on the tray filled to the brim. No skimping on the serving. It’s the way it should be and it makes for a great value! For those who have felt the need to reduce your star ratings for this restaurant because the service was slow, I would suggest you try them again. Every visit subsequent to my first visit has improved in time to order and time to receive my order. This is a new restaurant in the area, with what seems to be great owners, and helpful workers. I will be a regular patron of Zoup! in Highland! Great food! Fairly priced and awesome taste! If the Zoup! corporate office reads this Unilocal Review, you have a winning location in Highland, with dedicated employees. Nice job, Zoup!

When we arrived at Zoup, there were several patrons and a fairly lengthy line. The place reminded me of Panera, but smaller and less options. The menu is split up into Soups, Greens, and Sandwiches. You can sample soups as you wait in line, but the line moved very slowly. The setup seems all wrong. You should be able to order before getting to the cashier so the employees can get a head start on the order. Instead, you have to wait in line and order once you finally get to the cashier. Imagine if Chipotle or Subway did this during lunch rush. Yikes. I really like the chicken potpie and chicken wild rice soup. However, I ordered the turkey chili with a sandwich and was a little disappointed. The turkey chili barely had the main ingredients — turkey and beans. It should have been named tomato soup with a hint of turkey chili. The sandwich could not be substituted with whole grain bread, so I had to make it a wrap which was disappointing. I also don’t understand why you get bread as a side instead of chips or fruit. I’m already ordering a sandwich. Why would I want more bread? All in all it was decent, but I will stick with Panera.

I see the new reviews are more on the negative side but it’s a new business and with a new business in the area there will be a period where things don’t run smooth. I walked in and went to the back of the restaurant. There was a friendly staff member to explain how things are with over 100 zoups and they rotate daily. The lobster bisque was out but still has the other staple zoup. I had the shrimp and crawfish… Must say it was yummy however no spice like the menu had it labeled. The tuna sandwich was also good too. With all new places you get the people wanting to check it out. So seating is limited. I was here and noon and sat at the window on a high seat. Over all I’ll be back but it’s not going to be a weekly thing. Lunch for $ 12.87 isn’t something I’ll spend.

Hmm where do I start. I hate doing this to a new business but I have to be honest. I will start with the bad things first then end with the good things. I knew I wanted the chicken pot pie soup so I went to the Order Here line and stood behind a lady that was also waiting. Then someone came up on the left and placed her order.(?) The worker told us we had to go through this huge line of people trying soup in order to place our order!!! Why!!! I know what I want! Finally I get to order and the worker was flustered and said that they were short staffed. There were 6 people standing in that area. Many other similar shops do this with less workers. Regardless, I ordered a bowl of soup and a wrap. I thought the Asian salad would make a great wrap and they said they could do this! Awesome! I stood there for 5 minutes and then sat down. In that time span 2 people came up because their order was missing things. Finally after 10 more minutes(looked at the time on my receipt) I got my order and sat down. They forgot my bread for my soup so I got back up, waited and got my bread. Sat down, took a bite of my sandwich and then got back up… I needed the Asian dressing. They need to get their rhythm and fast, this is not good. However, what IS good is the soup. So I had the chicken pot pie soup and really enjoyed that. It was delicious and I loved the topping on it. The wrap was okay, however it was meant to be a salad(my fault) I will try something else. The brownie I took home was great warmed with ice cream. The place is cute, food is good, well staffed but really needs workflow organization badly! When there is a crowd they need to know how to handle it because this can turn messier fast. I’ll try this again after some time has passed. Fingers crossed. I really liked my soup… Hated waiting 15 minutes.
