A Brush with Success

I read on here a poor review as I was looking up his address to send Rich his money. I’m telling you this crew is the best. I’ve used his guy JOSH on an hourly basis 3 separate times and he does and absolute AWESOME job. He also did my entire ½ of my basement in one day and the lines were perfect. I won’t use anyone else. I’m not sure what happened with this other guys complaint but I had to write on here and let you know I have had ZERO issues and my guy has used his own tape when I ran out and used his own caulking when I ran out! The results speak for themselves. I’ve had no less then 4 – 5 people ask me who painted compared to the DISASTER i had when I had some other clowns paint my upstairs. fair pricing, great results, fast work… what more could you want? I am recommending these guys to everyone, you wont be let down. get it done RIGHT. otherwise it looks terrible. I know

As I’ve already wasted enough time with this company, I am going to keep this somewhat short. We made the mistake of pre-​paying for services with A Brush With Success. We paid for 7 hours of priming and painting of a small bathroom. For some reason unknown to us, the workers skipped the priming and went straight to painting even though we communicated to them that we needed priming and painting and we left the materials in the bathroom for them. Our polite communication with the owner over this quickly went downhill with him blaming my husband and I and then refusing to come look at the room. He also claimed we didn’t leave primer for his crew. We assured him we left all of the necessary materials. I have never dealt with such terrible customer service as I just did with the Owner, Rich. Good luck to you in hiring this company. I hope for you nothing goes wrong or you will be left like us, having wasted your money and having to do the project over again. This is only the second time I have written a bad review for a company but this is 100% well deserved.

These guys are exceptional. Rich Lyons (the principal) runs a super tight ship– oversees quality and workmanship better than we would have. His painting team is a delight — hard working, polite, funny, warm… And they are CLEAN!!! They clean up after themselves, don’t leave nails/​debris laying around… Most importantly, they are as honest as the day is long. We initially hired them for a $ 1000 inside paint job. We will end up spending significantly more with them. They were so good we just kept adding on rooms. They will have painted almost the entire interior of our 4,300 sq ft house. In addition, we will be using them to paint the outside of our home in the spring. Don’t bother researching other painters. Just save your self some time, call Rich and get the job done right. (PS: Rather than buy new kitchen cabinets, Rich and his team painted them in oil. They cabinets are beautiful — for a teeny fraction of what new cabinets would have been.
update on feb 5: this guy has our security codes, secret stashes… even our children (if he would take them). TRUSTWORTHY AS THE DAY IS LONG!!!
