Probably the best place to eat in highlands and prices are reasonable. I had the enchiladas Rojas, they were very good and brought out fairly quick.

Not impressed. The food was good but overpriced in my opinion. Service was mediocre. My husband had a long black/dark brown hair in his food. The server nor what seemed to be the manager at the register, Francisco, apologized. The server took the plate and said they would remake it. We still had to pay for the food even though he got his plate when we were just about done.

New Nopalitos in Highlands is just as delicious but also less crowded than the main location! It’s not on google maps yet, but is not hard to find across from Woody’s on South Main. There’s a good selection of regular and breakfast options. Breakfast plates are $ 5.50 and have decently large portions. Tried the huevos rancheros con tocino and the chilaquiles. Both were tasty but could’ve been saltier or spicier. Loved the homemade corn/flour tortillas. The tacos are basic but delicious. The barbacoa was tender, flavorful, and just the right amount of fatty. Didn’t expect this, but each table also receives a complimentary fried sugary tortilla — it’s crunchy and delicious. Perfect with a coffee or as a dessert. Great food, fast service, and free sugary snack? I don’t live close to this place but I hope I’ll be back soon.
