Best little spot in town! An awesome change of pace from the other bars in the Highlands with a laid back vibe. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and the drinks are cold and affordable. Because they do not serve food, we were able to bring our dog in while we had a few beers and listened to the band. HIGHLY recommend the Lost Hiker!

Love this place! Erin is the best! The whole staff is way friendlier than the people at the ugly dog.

Good alternative to the Ugly Dog if you’re looking to go a little bit more local. If you’re needing that whole«I’m a tourist pamper me» thing it’s probably not your spot. This seems to be where all the people serving the tourists go after they get off, which I like so it was right-on for me. Very good people watching too, still haven’t figured out what a couple people were all about. That’s a good thing.

This place was a great alternative to the Ugly Dog, which is really the only other bar around. We had a wonderful time here. The staff is very friendly and as of now, it is mostly local staff of the resorts, etc. that are patrons(when we went, they had just opened 9 days prior). They had an awesome banjo player and band(bluegrass/rock) from Asheville the night we were there and it was just a good time. No issues, no pretentiousness, just fun. And for that, it gets 5 stars. I can’t think of anything that was wrong, the acoustics were good, prices were fair, they don’t have credit card machines yet, but there are several banks/atms near by and it is well worth stopping in to have a drink and say hello(and hopefully catch some great music while you are at it).
