I love DJ Gregg from Ambient DJ service. He rocked my «Fabulous 50^th birthday party for hours, nonstop. Gregg listens to your vision of the party and then brings it to fruition. The night was Epic! Thank you Gregg. You ROCK!

My family used Greg for my engagement party. I provided Greg with my program for him to manage through out the night and a list of songs to play in addition to his music list, and he did an amazing job ensuring that everything ran smoothly throughout the night. Greg was very friendly with the guests and had everyone on the dance floor all night! My friends are still talking about how fun the party was! He played all the songs we selected (including Spanish music). He was simply humble, friendly and outgoing! He gave his all and ensured we all had a great time! I highly recommend Greg of Ambient DJ Service Anytime!

My family has used Gregg of Ambient DJ multiple times and have been very pleased. He has done 3 family weddings, 2 Communion parties and a 50^th Wedding Anniversary. Each time he did a terrific job, making each day unique and special. Not only is he talented, keeping a good mix and flow going, he is easy to work with and a downright nice guy. I highly recommend him and know I will use him again in the future.

I cannot say enough good things about Ambient DJ Services. They were helpful, responsive, and professional from start to end. We had the pleasure of working with DJ Spinz (Chris) for our wedding this weekend, and he was wonderful. He played all the songs we selected for each event at the right time, and then for the dancing portions, he was able to get a whole bunch of shy people on the dance floor. We gave him almost no direction about dance music and trusted the evening to him, and he came through like a true pro. I will be recommending to all my engaged friends and will be a repeat client in the future. Thank you so much Chris for infusing the rhythm into our wedding!

Working with DJ Gregg was a DREAM! Gregg is professional, organized, and has an absolute love for his job which showed the entire night of our wedding. He traveled to meet with us twice before our wedding day and spent much time answering emails and any questions we had. His announcements were clear and only when necessary. He played an amazing playlist and his timing on songs was on point and kept everyone on the dance floor. Ambient DJs come highly recommended from both myself and anyone at our wedding!!! The DJ set up, up lighting, and lights added so much to our room. Thank you DJ Gregg!!!

Gregg at Ambient DJ is an amazing guy. When we first started looking for DJs, we came across a lot of people we knew we didn’t want, whether it was because they played music we didn’t like, or because they just didn’t seem like our style. But when we read the reviews of Gregg, we were so encouraged that we thought we’d give him a try. Since we were planning our wedding from a few hundred miles away, we set up a call with him. We told him that we didn’t exactly want a lot of mainstream stuff, that music is very important to us, and that we’d probably want to come up with a lot of things that he might not have heard of before, all of which he was totally fine with. And after we figured out that his own personal music tastes lined up a bit with ours, we knew we had finally found our DJ.
When it came time to put our playlist together, we found that a lot of the songs we wanted him to play weren’t in his online playlist building software. There was, however, an area in the software where you could put in special requests that we put to great use. After submitting our playlist, Gregg was able to find everything we wanted including an 8-​bit chiptunes version of the wedding march that we wanted played as our recessional.
As far as his set up during our wedding and reception, it was discrete and effective. During the reception, he encouraged people to take glow sticks we bought for the dance party. He also directed people to take part in a particular tradition of my wife’s family. His personality was 100% spot on with what we were looking for in a DJ, and we were so happy with how he performed. We didn’t have a lot of top 40 songs on our «please play» list, and yet he filled in the gaps between our choices with tasteful choices that got people moving. And I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone so skillfully mix an industrial/​synthpop track into a Lady Gaga song. Overall we were never disappointed with his work, and we were so glad to have him as our wedding DJ. In fact we were so sold on him that we recommended him to a friend who was getting married a few months before us, and both he and we were very happy with Gregg’s work. He even gave us a list of what songs he played during the wedding and reception so we could make a soundtrack to remember the day by.

Choosing Gregg as the DJ for our wedding was a wonderful decision! He was very professional and easy to work with and perfectly accommodated all of our needs. The dance floor was packed all night and everyone had a blast. We still get compliments from people about the music at our wedding and it was months ago. I highly recommend Gregg.

DJ Jesse left a horrible taste in my mouth. So much so that I’m writing this review 2 days after my wedding. First of all, I had spent a few hours on the wedding planner sheet to make it thorough and simple. I don’t think he bothered to read it. Other things that I have to make a list:
1. He played the my bouquet toss song during my cake cutting time when I specifically wrote in the planner the sequence of events.
2. I SPECIFICALLY wrote down that he should not encourage people to the dance floor while they’re eating. However, right when people got their food, DJ Jesse announced to the crowd that «for every person on the dance floor is a year of good luck.» No went on to the dance floor. It was VERY VERY awkward.
3. I had to reach out to him repeatedly the week before my wedding and he was very SLOW to respond.
4. He was 15 mins late to one of my meeting.
The DJ service was affordable, but I would pay a lot more for someone who actually reads and follows through my simple requests.
Edit: The owner apologized and refunded the tip that someone gave the DJ.

Working in the wedding and event business, it’s always nice to have other vendors that we feel comfortable enough with to recommend their services. Ambient DJ Services is one of those businesses we refer our clients to. Gregg and his team of DJ’s do a fantastic job no matter what type of event you are having. Great service, top quality equipment and pricing all combine to make for many happy customers. If you need music entertainment and/​or lighting, they are the ones to call!

Gregg was fantastic to work with! He was our most professional vendor, and an incredible value for the services rendered. We acquired his basic package (but had our wedding in the offseason, so he graciously included his uplighting package), and as he kept upgrading his equipment, we simply asked for some of those items (and he provided them free of charge!), and he was always willing to go above and beyond to see your needs met, and that you were satisfied. Example: We custom-​choreographed a song for him to play for our first danced loosely based on a few youtube videos, and he was able to edit it for us to match our song! We also had a few friends who helped us organize the reception as well as play some music using their own equipment, and Gregg was always a pleasure to work with for them as well. For the price we paid, Gregg was a no-​brainer. Thanks for making our reception a great success Ambient DJ!

Gregg contacted us through wedding wire, and even though he lives super far away, he made the 2 hour trek into Manhattan to meet with my husband and I (twice!). Gregg stands out for 3 reasons: (1) PRICE. I really challenge you to find a professional DJ that comes at a lower price. (2) PROFESSIONALISM. Gregg responded immediately to every e-​mail and phone call. At each meeting we were able to outline to Gregg what we wanted and he was able to set it up accordingly. He even accepts credit card! (3) Equipment. His set-​up is awesome! He also has a really wonderful website where you can sample songs and pick what you’d like.
I would definitely recommend Gregg to other brides. However, after recommending him, I would also strongly suggest that you give him a specific playlist. Gregg really carried out every instruction we gave him to a tee, and the ceremony was great! but at the end of the night when we gave him free reign for the dance portion, we didn’t feel like our guests responded to the songs that he chose (my husband and I didn’t recognize a few of them as well).
In conclusion, if you are on a budget, but would still like a professional DJ who will work with you tirelessly and treat you wonderfully, I’d suggest Gregg! However, if dancing is VERY important to you then you might want to spend a little more and find a dj that is also into the same type of music as you.
