MOUNTAIN VIEW INN HILL CITY
what a pleasant surprise! This privately owned lodge was perfect for our stay while visiting Mt Rushmore and the Badlands. I walked into the room and immediately– it was obvious how supremely clean and well kept this property is. Wow! Every ledge, nook and cranny was wiped clean. Our room included a small kitchenette with microwave, toaster and fridge, and small separate bedroom for our kids! Everything clean and working. Don’t get me wrong. This place is nothing fancy, there’s no wifi, and cell coverage is very poor, no free ice, but for a perfectly clean and comfortable room close to excellent South Dakota attractions– STAY HERE. We only stayed one night, but wish it was longer!
They also have a small outdoor pool and it’s located right across the street from Dairy Twist (ice cream, burgers and dogs) we stayed in room 1. There are also small cabins behind the main property which I would imagine are equally as tidy. Thanks for a great stay!
