Heritage is an old railroad track that has been abandoned for years that in 1991 was turned into a multipurpose trail. It doesn’t just go through natural area, but also the Northwest Village, the historical part of Hilliard. Although, the natural part of Heritage is flat, open grassy area with some wooded area. A small version of Glacier Ridge you could say. The trail is a paved black top and is used for walking, jogging, hiking, biking, skating, cross country skiing and horseback riding. Because it is paved, it also makes it useable for handicapped persons. Pets are also allowed on the trail.
