I don’t make it to Hilliard that often, but when i do it’s usually to eat at Starliner Diner. When that happens, i usually stop in next door at Kloset Kraze to look around. The employees tending the shop have always been exceptionally nice and helpful. The first time i shopped there i needed a shirt immediately for some reason – maybe the one i was wearing got ripped while i was rescuing a woman from strip mall land crabs or some such heroic thing – and the clerk helped me decide which shirts to purchase. I believe she was the owner, and this discerning woman gave me advice on the order of «that one looks good on you» and«that one, uh not so much». I appreciate that help, as my fashion gaffes need to diminish. I almost left with a pink mini skirt last time(see picture) and only decided against it because i couldn’t afford the skirt plus the shaving cream to get my legs in presentable shape. The selection is wide and the prices are reasonable at Kloset Kraze, and as i recall the shirts in the men’s section are helpfully arranged by color. I think they are moving locations, so drop by to check it out in its first iteration sometime soon.

Located next to Starliner Diner in Hilliard, Kloset Kraze is a teen thrift shop in the mold of Plato’s Closet. The people who run the store buy used clothes from folks who bring them in. The standards always seem high — though the stock indicates that sometimes they aren’t. How else do school-logo windbreakers find their way into the racks? Most of the clothes the store carries aren’t that teen-specific. Racks at a local Salvation Army store would offer many of the same selections — only the Salvation Army would be cheaper. The store also carries women’s clothes and accessories made by a local designer. They’re neat looking, but it doesn’t seem as though they fly off the racks. The fabrics aren’t the most stylish. The prices are low for one-of-a-kind clothing, though.
