As far as used sports equipment goes, Play It Again Sports is usually pretty awesome in getting what you need cheap, but this particular location is great for hockey equipment. I couldn’t believe the selection(even though it is hockey season), and from slightly used to overstock. They have tons of hockey and figure skates too, so if you’re interested in giving skating a shot, then you should swing over here so you’re not spending a couple hundred or more on skates. I was able to walk out of there with new shoulder pads, elbow pads, a stick, and a new water bottle for just $ 140. That’s a steal considering the stick itself retailed at $ 120 prior to ending up here. If you’re looking for top of the line stuff, you’re probably not going to find it here, but if you’re doing men’s league a couple times a week or just learning to play hockey, then this is definitely where you want to start. The place is a little bit of a mess, since customers don’t seem to like hanging things back up on the hangers, but it’s easy enough to get around and find what you need. They pack this place to the brim, and it definitely looks like it has a lot more space than the location on Sawmill. There’s all kinds of stuff in here for all different sports, and all that can get pretty pricey, so it’s totally worth taking a look. It may be a little further out than I like, but I would be out here again in a heartbeat for new equipment.

Having purchased from Play it again sports for years at locations all over the state, I was disappointed to see the higher prices particularly at this location. On numerous items. Could call it price gouging knowing we needed a few particular products. Guy behind the counter actually made up a price on a non tagged pair of soccer shoes. I had my daughter with me who was excited to get those shoes, otherwise I would have not made the purchase. Not going back in that location again.

Pros: Big selection. Convenient location. Employees helpful. Cons: Overpriced on new items. Feels dingy inside. Review: They have lots of selection but in my opinion, they are overpriced. I got a helmet here for my daughter and actually found it cheaper, new, online. They have a huge selection of shoes for soccer and other stuff, but for horse riding, gymnastics and maybe a few other sports, not too much.

The Play it Again chain has locations around Columbus, but if you’re interested in hockey equipment, this is the best one to visit. They keep a large selection of helmets, pads, sticks, blades, shafts, and skates in stock at all times, and I’ve found items on sale(and frequently with reduced prices) that I never find at the Westerville or Reynoldsburg stores. The staff can be a mixed bag, honestly, but more often than not they’re fairly helpful, and I leave happy with my visit. Just keep in mind that unless you’re looking for a brand new item, they can’t always control what is or is not in stock, or what condition some of the used items may be in.

Not only does Hilliard Play It Again Sports have used sporting goods, but they also have new merchandise as well. From what I’ve seen at the Hilliard location, they pretty much have what you would need for football, baseball, basketball, soccer, hockey(a ton of hockey equipment), bikes, golf, weights, treadmills, lacrosse, field hockey, cleats and etc. The store is very clean, organized and the people who work there are very friendly and helpful. I’ve shopped at that store many times and I will shop there many more times.

Always a good selection of used equipment from golf to exercise stuff. They have a pretty large golf and exercise section. They used to have a nice used disc golf selection but it seemd to mostly new now. Disc Golf had gained in popularity and more people tend to keep their discs now or sell them at the course. Their adult softball glove section is usually pretty sparse too. One thing you can count on is a service representative near by to help you. They are friendly and helpful.

I went here a few weeks ago in search of skis accustomed to the higher prices out in Seattle, WA and was very pleased to find a nice pair of relatively new skis, poles and really nice hardly used boots all for under $ 200. On top of that they gave me a very generous trade in credit for some things that had just been collecting dust.

I was happy to go in here and find a cheap and rusty but totally heavy duty olympic size bar for my weight bench. The middle aged sales guy showed me every bar they had, including some that were stored in a back room. This place or one of its sister stores will be my first stop for anything sports related i might want, chiefly because there is the possibility of getting it at a price substantially below the brand spank-me new retail price.
