Danna’s Diner

I’m here are Dannas now. Not greeting or anything. I sat my self down and she came over and only said «what do you want to drink?» I ordered the omelet and it doesn’t come with hashbrowns, I had to order it as a side. Just got my decaf coffee and oj. Coffee is kinda weak and oj is really good. My omelet was a veggie. I asked for everything except mushrooms. It only hs bell pepper and onions. Very simple. Toast was good and hash browns were really good. The cheese on the omelette was that slice American cheese that messed up the fresh taste for me. The place is clean and well kept. The breakfast total was 12 bucks not including tax. I didn’t even get avocado on my omelette !! Just ok here. Was looking for Vickie’s and found Danna’s instead. lol.

I ordered a salad and there was wayyyy too much dressing so I asked can I please have one with dressing on the side… My server answered «I guess I’ll have to go cut more lettuce.» …Why be like that?

We went to Danna’s when we were passing through Hillsboro over the holiday weekend. It was a Friday morning, so we weren’t able to try either the breakfast buffet (Saturdays) or the lunch /​dinner specials.
Instead, we had breakfast. I had the biscuits and sausage gravy with hasbrowns and sausage. My daughter had the cheese omelette with sausage links, my son had the waffles with apples, and my wife had eggs over easy.
All in all it was pretty good. The service was great, the food came quickly and it was plentiful. My daughter didn’t like the American cheese in her omelette, however. The best dish was the hash browns, which were crispy and light but not greasy. We got them as a side so there were not a ton, but it’s probably good because I didn’t need to eat so much anyways.
Also the place was busy, with a lot of local support. Good luck Danna’s!
