Dick’s Hyundai – Hillsboro

Stay away and don’t waste your time at this dealership. I purchased a used vehicle here and have had nothing but frustration since. They try to sneak in multiple «additional fees» and even try to sale you on additional mechanical service insurance. Unfortunately they were able to get this one past me. They can remove this additional insurance after the sale but it has taken 4 months and still nothing has happened yet. The finance guy, Brandon, is unresponsive and hasn’t been helpful at all. Whenever I call, he’s «not working today». Messages never seem to get to him. Please don’t waste your time with this dealership.

I went to several dealers knowing exactly what my range was, and all the places I stopped didnt have it but tried very hard to sell me every other available car. Even though this is a Hyundai dealer, I just happened to have a strong feeling and pulled in here looking for a Honda or Toyota. After going through the catalog with the dealer and him finding my needs He found the perfect car; a 2007 Honda, in my price range, the color & sportiness I desired, just perfect! I had to have it! He didnt try to push or make other suggestions before my decision; very refreshing! But my application was denied (very bad credit for old non paid credit cards); i left very very upset, sobbing; i had searched for days for this car just to be turned down! I left and tried other places, denied denied denied. I was told no matter how many places i went to id be denied! When i was going home after complete defeat I got a call from Dick’s, who felt so terrible for me from earlier that day, they wanted to work with me. They requested me to return and I walked out of there that day with keys in my hand! They didnt have to do that, they didnt know me, but they did! After the purchase a few weeks, since the car was older I wanted maintenance done. The shop explained my cars internal maintenance reminder system, teaching me things about my car, even printed some stuff for me – went above and beyond! The maintenance I wanted done he looked at and instead of just agreeing with me to make money he told me I could if i wanted to but it didnt need it yet and told me when to come back! You always think of dealers being after money but they didnt make me feel that way at all. I took the car to show off to my expert honda mechanic cousin and he told me that my engine was the cleanest engine he has ever seen (internally) and i got a great car with a great price! Fast forward 6 – 7 months since my purchase now, and Ive had zero issues, nothing has broke, and I even went on a 4500 mile road trip right after purchase and ive put 12k miles on it since purchase, and ive had to do nothing!!! (And this was a car with 130k miles at purchase). Ive taken it through extreme arizona heat, up to 11k elevation in the nevada desert, and through Oregon rain, ice and snow… and just a wonderful car! Im so happy the universe gave me a feeling to go into this dealer on that day last June!

I rented a Hyndai Elantra Gt at airport. It was smaller than what i would be buying in the near future. However, by the time i arrived at family’s home in Hillsboro, i loved it. Next day we went to Dick’s Hyundai, i asked if they had this same car, new, for sale, and they did. The sale went effortlessly, the entire staff was great, i highly recommend the business and the product

Service writer Steven exhibits exceptional customer service, he kept me up to date on my vehicle consistently. He is trustworthy, honest and knowledgeable. He took my concerns to heart and did not try and push product. I truly suggest that if you should use this service department you speak directly to Steven, he is a great asset to this dealership.

Came here today to buy a 2008 Acura RDX I saw online. The scam that unfolded before my eyes was pretty sad:
Step 1)
They pretend they don’t know where the car is, because someone was «about to buy it».
Step 2)
They «discover» that the car is still available, but at a sister dealership «6 minutes» down the road (really 15+)
Step 3)
They drive you to this other dealership (now you can’t leave) and continue to waste your time.
Step 4)
They assume now that they have wasted 3+ hours of your time, and you are trapped at a foreign dealership, surely you will buy their car.
Don’t waste your time with these jokers. I have seen this con unfold twice approx. 18 months apart at this dealership. This isn’t how the car buying experience is supposed to work in 2015.
Go somewhere that is honest — who has time for theatrics?

Oddly uneven service. Dealership is shiny and well-​kept, and service is friendly. I purchased a car that has proven to be reliable and good quality, yet there were enough instances of chicanery to warrant this warning to others.
I test-​drove three cars before deciding on the Honda Civic. In one Nissan Altima, I noticed that the A/​C was not blowing cold air. I asked the salesman next to me if it had a problem, and he denied there was anything wrong with it, although there obviously was.
Upon settling down to apply, I filled out the information for Advantis Credit Union, of which I am a member. The salesman Roberto came back to tell me I had been accepted and immediately got pushy about me signing the final sale documents. I hesitated for long enough to notice that it wasn’t actually Advantis Credit Union who had accepted my application at a rate of 2 – 3 percent. It was actually Wells Fargo Dealer Services at a rate of 7.99%…because the car had over 100,000 miles on it. See, he wasn’t going to bother telling me.
The final salesman, Jan, was about as sleazy and sharky as you can imagine. I know that dealerships save the big Komodo dragon for the end, to bully you and hopefully make a bigger cash grab. This one was pushy and rude, absolutely refusing to budge on the price because «It’s a Honda.» Would not meet our eyes during this exchange. By this time, it was after nine o’clock and the paperwork seemed to be in order. I finished signing and left with the car. The servicemen were in such a hurry they left a razor blade on the dash.
It was not until the next morning that I noticed an extra charge on the final invoice. It said, «OPTIONAL VIN etching: $ 399.» I did a little research and discovered that this is a common scam among bottom-​feeding car dealerships. I called back and was straight-​up lied to by Jan, who claimed that it was a service performed on all their vehicles. Why was it listed on the invoice as Optional, then?
I had noticed during the test drive that one of the windows was experiencing problems going up and down. The salesman agreed to fix it for free on condition of my buying the car. When I returned to the dealership two days later, no one knew about this and the service manager claimed I was going to have to pay for it. I stared him down so hard he began to visibly shake and then he retracted his statement.
A couple of weeks later, I received a letter from the dealership stating that they had overcharged me by about $ 150 on DMV fees and had notified the loan center to remove it.

Love these honest ppl! Everyone is friendly and NOT pushy. Cust svc is their goal and it’s noticeable and appreciated.
Svc shop completes oil changes on ALL vehicles NOT only Hyundai.. Washes and cleans inside too at an amazing price, far better than jiffy. Just took our suburban in for oil change, they treated her real nice and she’s clean inside and out. .
