Friendly staff, some odd products once in awhile makes this place interesting. Not always the best prices on some things but comparable.

Great Store awesome service! I always find what I need for a good price. If the checkout line gets long they open more registers immediately. I like how they thank each other over the intercom even though they are right next to each other. I’ve been a customer for 5 years now never had any issues. Good luck finding a better place to shop. :)

Grocery Outlet consistently offers heavy discounts on organic items, although like any other GO product, they’re probably about to expire or are an odd flavor of some sort(such as Carrot Cake Luna Bars… gross). Pretty much the only organic produce offered is boxed lettuce, which doesn’t usually look good when I pick it up and examine the bottom, so I’d stay away from that. I’ve seen organic yogurt but never organic cheese. I also spotted some expired organic milk yesterday, so make sure to check those dates! I’ve seen organic chicken wings and legs for great prices. Other good organic deals are usually on shelf-stable items such as canned beans, cereal, pop-tarts, etc., as well as frozen items such as pizza and mac-and-cheese. Check on the shelving over the freezers for the best organic selections. As mentioned above, good deals on Luna Bars. Sometimes you can find a good selection of chocolate on sale as well. I once found soy candles, which were a great deal, but I haven’t seen then since. Can’t seem to find stainless steel bake-ware here as I had hoped… sadly only aluminum. As far as bathroom items go, you’ll often see Tom’s toothpaste and other Tom’s items for much less than New Season, Whole Foods, and Food Front are trying to sell you them for. Also, wine. Check out the wine. Bring in your Chinook Book coupons for extra savings and don’t forget to take the survey on the receipt for a chance to win a $ 250 gift card!

This place is a joke. The staff here are unbelievably rude. I went here shopping and was munching on a jerky sticky while picking up some groceries. When I got to the checkout counter with my spouse I realized I really had to pee. I handed off the wrapper and some money for the jerky to my spouse so it could be paid for and headed over to McDonalds to use the restroom since this store does not have a public bathroom. As I was leaving the store I was accosted by two employees(not security) they angrily started shouting at me that I was a thief and was never allowed back into the store. I asked them what the problem was and they said I had stolen the jerky. I told them that I had left the wrapper with girlfriend at the register and that it would be paid for as soon as she was up in line. Not only did they say I was lying but they kicked her out of the store and wouldn’t even let us buy our groceries or the jerky which we still had wrapper in hand ready to pay for. On the way out one of the workers came up so close to me that his genitalia was resting on my leg. I asked him to please step back and he just kept getting closer trying to instigate some violence, a fight, who knows what. Dont shop here. I will be calling corporate and reporting this franchise & I will be calling the police next.

Grocery Outlet is a fun place to shop. You never know what you will find and the employees are friendly and helpful. It is worth going out of my way to shop here and save money at the same time. Try it, you“ll love it!

I heart this place. You have to know your prices and look at expiry dates but I have tried a lot of new products at super fly fantastic prices. They have a huge, very inexpensive wine selection with many under $ 6. They have a few duds, of course, but so does the super market and it was $ 10 down the tube instead of $ 6. Big family? They also have a decent selection of costco sized packages for snacks and such. Oh… I can’t forget organic and gluten free — there are products for y’all too at a great price point. Definitely worth a look!

I like how they reused the old Safeway and even some of the original Safeway shopping carts. Food here is pretty cheep, but as another reviewer said, always check the expiration date. Service here is ok. not the best, but not the worse.

Stuff sold here is cheaper because it is excess from different stores, the manufacturer’s shipping problems or near expiration date(which you may want to check carefully on refrigerated items). They sell all kinds of non food as well, shampoo, beer, toys… all for low prices that usually beat other grocery stores. Compared to other«Canned Food Grocery Outlet» stores: This location is the best in the Portland area. Beaverton is good, Tacoma(Lakewood) is tops. The whole chain has been getting fewer odd ball gourmet finds and more plain store brands. Nothing wrong with soup from Stop-n-Shop(east coast) but it is not that different from Safeway(west coast). Used to be one could find caviar and such on occasion. Lots of good deals. Just rare to find something really unexpected.
