I can’t say enough good things about Dr Kemp. I was searching for a new physician after my primary for more than 6 years began to have longer and longer wait times to see her, then longer wait times to see PAs. It got to where I had to schedule my yearly Pap 6 months in advance, and regular visits(once for bronchitis at least 3 weeks out) as well. Dr Kemp was a physician at a local practice with several other physicians. About 6 months after my first appointment, I was alerted that she was moving to her own private practice a few blocks away in Orenco Station. Her staff consists of a very professional office manager and one of my favorite nurses ever; as the practice has grown, she’s added a nurse assistant. The clinic is in one of the cute Orenco Station townhouses; very elegant with an Italian theme and three clean, comfortable rooms. Dr Kemp has helped me manage my medical issues with compassionate care. She is very professional, yet warm, and always takes time to explain to me what the issue is and the treatment approaches. When I had an on-the-job foot injury a few years ago, she worked with my podiatrist and Worker’s Compensation to make sure the process leading up to the surgery(by the podiatrist) was smoother than it otherwise could have been(WC is a pain to work with). The only downside of her new practice is that she is extremely popular and *does not* shuttle her patients out the door after the insurance-required 15 minutes — and this means more time in the wait room, but it’s worth it for a doctor who truly cares.

Moving to a new city(or across the country) to a new place where you know no-one has it’s challenges, one of which is finding doctors, dentists, opts, etc., So, I googled the doctors my insurance listed under providers, and the only positive reviews I saw were for Dr. Kemp in Hillsboro. The reviews I read were only a sentence(I think it was on ) but the website transfers you around and doesn’t let you read the whole review. Anyway, here is my full length, positive review: It took a few weeks to get an appointment. Like any great restaurant where you cant get a reservation for a few weeks due to popularity, I took this as a good sign. The staff were professional, courteous, and gave me a reminder call the day before. The location, in Orenco Station, was convenient and on street parking was plenty. The new patient check-in process was quick, and the wait time to see the doctor was average. I immediately got the impression that Dr. Kemp was very knowledgeable and personable, taking time to ask questions, sit down and listen, and address my concerns and comments. I felt 100% confident after my visit, and am so happy(and relieved) that I now have a wonderful doctor in this area!
