Dr. Laidlaw is great! Super with kids and office hours that accommodate working moms. Highly recommend her!

Okay, so the orthodontist is nice enough, but her office kind of says it all. She is a bit full of herself and her abilities. I realize she teaches at the college, but her pricing is out of line. Basically, if your insurance will approve it, she’ll charge it and then some, if she can.
We went there for our kids, and I told them to contact me if the pricing was going to be more than 10 percent above what the amount to be transferred from our previous orthodontist would be. I didn’t want to drag the kids out of schooling just to get there and discover that we wouldn’t have any adjustments done that day. No contact, so we go in for an «appointment» only to get taken into the business office and told that basically, the kids would cost EACH what we had paid for BOTH in our other town, and that some invasive procedures would be required.
In addition, she had our insurance amounts added wrong –our old orthodontist tried to explain this, but the person who goes over your payments wasn’t interested. In fact, my orthodontist’s staff told me «run from this place.»
I was pretty shocked. I was assured it was «like this in Portland»… but it is not. You can read my other reviews to see where we ended up… and we paid a small amount above what our other orthodontist was transferring (we had paid up front) and the service is FAST and good and proficient. This place however, is just a bit too much of a palace for us. We can’t afford fancy, we wanted quality care, not video games, state of the art decorating and fast talking.

Three of four family members are patients here, including me. Always very nice, very helpful, responsive when repairs are required.
