I met Keith last week at a local F1 race showing last weekend and made my way over to his place yesterday to join some friends on one of his simulator setups. Their car was loaded into the machine to help their drivers get acquainted with Thunderhill where they’ll be racing in the 25hr event next month. Keith and the experience overall was great. I’ve never been on a more professional sim type machine, and this was something else completely with the Oculus Rift!
I had a blast and a very good reminder of Thunderhill. I only wish I was making the trek down there to race as well!
Basically, Keith has something awesome going and I look forward to seeing it progress and going at it again some day. He can model your car in the simulation at many tracks and help you analyze your driving data, optimize vehicle setup, and learn tracks you’ve never been to before you go, among other things.
