Wow! Having travelled all over the world, including 5 or 6 trips to Mexico, this is some of the freshest Mexican food we have ever had. The owner is really nice, fast service, and out-of-this-world tacos. We had the ground beef tacos both flour and corn tortillas as well as the ground beef burritos. The ingredients were super fresh and portion size is very reasonable for the price. A must stop if in the area(or anywhere within 100 miles). We will return.

Delicioso! Burritos are made great with the chipotle cream. Tacos are full and crispy. Everything tastes fresh, and the service is fast!

Love this place! Unbelievable value for the quality of food. I do have to take issue with one of the other reviews who says that they fed three people for just over $ 20 and then goes on to complain that the fish taco wasn’t halibut… Um… Seriously? That is extraordinarily expensive fish and you said you fed three people for just over $ 20! You. Are. Hilarious. If you want to great cheap meal this is the place for you if you’re looking for a five star Michelin rated Mexican dining experience then you may be disappointed. I am originally from Southern California and was raised on great Mexican food. I moved to the northeast 15 years ago and I’ve always been searching for decent places to get my Mexican food fix. It has been a struggle. Glad to say so close to home now I have found a place that is not only decent but excellent! I’ve only eaten there twice so far but everything I’ve had has been great and this is going to be one of my Staples! The burrito was spectacular the quesadilla was huge and delicious the black bean soup superb and they had a special last night of the chicken chili which I hope they put on the regular menu… It was ridiculously good. My sister always says if the rice and beans are good it’s going to be a good Mexican restaurants and this place is no exception, the rice and beans are amazing. Do yourself a favor, eat here!

I will start this review by saying that I really wanted this place to be good. I had such high hopes because Hillsboro really needs diversity in its restaurants, and Mexican food seems like the answer to that need. I was so disappointed with my meal. I’ve eaten at many Mexican food restaurants in my life. From authentic Baja cuisine, to California fare, to the little hole in the wall off Interstate 5 and Hwy 46 in central California. All good. Even El Rodeo in Concord was impressive. I’m not necessarily looking for authentic, just fresh and well made. Taco Beyondo needs some tweaks — and I hope they read these reviews and not take them personally. I offer these nits only in the hopes that they improve their food. I had heard they were looking in to delivery, which if they improve the food that would be awesome! They are very busy, which is a good sign. We waited 30 minutes to get a small meal for takeout. I ordered tacos for my spouse and myself, a quesadilla for my young daughter and chips and pico de gallo. We spent a little over $ 20, which is a sweet deal. Much cheaper than going to McDonald’s for their gut-wrenchingly terrible food. The chips are very thick and if they are handmade, they could stand to be thinned out a bit. They were salted well and not greasy. The pico de gallo was bland. It tasted like a gassed tomato cut up with some flavorless onion and Hunt’s tomato juice. It needs some citrus and some fresh garlic, desperately. The salsa has an odd taste to it — I can’t quite put my finger on it but I want to say smokey, but not quite right. My daughter’s quesadilla was well grilled, but the cheese was not good. It reminded me of cheese food or American cheese when I tasted it. My spouse had the chicken tacos, and I tried a fish taco. They used greasy dark meat chicken, iceberg lettuce, more gassed tomato, and more cheese food packed into two corn soft tortillas. It was messy to eat and fell apart. There was a sauce drizzled across the top that tasted like bottled ranch sauce with a hit of cayenne powder. The flavor profile was not good. Fresh grilled white meat chicken with complimentary seasons would have been better, as well as less cheese of a different type. The fish taco had the same toppings as did the chicken, but I think they used tilapia or some other cheap fatty fish as it was rubbery and flavorless. When I think of fish tacos, I certainly wouldn’t add cheese or bottled ranch sauce. I think of a quality whitefish, such as halibut or cod and some citrusy slaw with some crunch to it. This was a greasy, flavorless disaster. We did not finish our meals. I hope that the owners and/or cook experiment with more flavor profiles and stop trying to cut corners with the meat and toppings. I understand they are a startup and it’s impressive that they are building this business. The town certainly needs them, and I would love to be a return customer, but they need to learn some new things«beyondo» what is being used.

Love this place! Best Taco and Burrito(they have a lot more than that too) place I have been to in a long time. Everything is fresh tasting. I have been there multiple times and every time the food has been consistently good. My favorite, the pork burrito loaded. I definitely recommend for the food and friendly staff.

I had a fabulous experience having Taco Beyondo cater several items for our Christmas Eve Mexican night. I normally prepare all the items, but needed some help this year. Adam was quick to respond and make suggestions on menu items and quantities, his follow up was great– but who cares if the food’s not good, right? We had chipotle salsa, shrimp ceviche, steak quesadillas, and chicken and ground beef enchiladas. Everything was fresh, wonderful & packed with meat. The portions were generous enough that we had leftovers! I make steak quesadillas every year & they are a family favorite, everyone agree– these were(maybe even better than mine!) We travel to Mexico every year & we KNOW good food, this is good food! I think next year Adam will be in charge of the whole event!

I’ve been twice and enjoyed the carnitas burrito. Both times it was fresh tasting and very full. My husband had some type of taco with the soft corn tortillas and was very satisfied with the flavors. The people making the food are very friendly and eager to put out fresh quality food. It’s just a little hole in the wall but they fixed it up with a fun Mexican theme. I will be back.

We decided to try Taco Beyondo tonight on a whim because nothing had gone as planned and we needed to be fed. We all got tacos and we were happy we did. The price for 7 tacos and three sodas was extremely reasonable. My husband tried a beef, a chicken, and a pork. His fav was the pulled pork but he liked them all. I tried a steak and a chicken. My fav was the steak for sure(I’d probably be satisfied with one steak taco myself but I ordered a chicken to increase the sample. I liked that one too.) Our son who is anti-meat lit up when he saw black beans on the board. He didn’t order from the kids menu but went for black bean tacos and devoured two of them. They make everything to order so his could be not spicy at all, and ours got the yummy spicy treatment. Everything is specific. Staff here was very welcoming, and interested in whether or not we enjoyed the food. We really DID. So, these are not necessarily negatives to mention but important to know, this is an order at the counter operation. This is in a basic location, with basic tables, plastic ware, and paper plates. That’s okay with us. We seriously regret not trying this place earlier. We’ll be back.

Great flavor and friendly service. I’ve been three times now and the foods flavor has been fantastic. My one complaint is that the burrito has been full of really watery and runny filling causing it to completely fall apart. Maybe it supposed to be like that? I guess I’d just prefer a drier filling. Again awesome flavor! I won’t give up on you Taco Beyondo

It is a small place almost hidden in a strip of stores. Menu is pretty basic with all the favorites like Tacos, burritos and of course quesadillas with all the fixings. Place was pretty clean just very small. As for the food they were having a special 2 tacos for $ 5.00 so my wife and I bought 6, fish, pork, beef, chicken, and portobello mushroom. The chicken taco was the best by far for me but all tacos were really fresh and made right in front of you by the chef/owner. I really enjoy all the tacos and will be back soon.

My brother loves this place and gets treated like royalty. I enjoy it here. I feel like i was confused in ordering but that has more to do with me. Really nice people in general that are generally concerned that you enjoy your meal. I can’t say that i made smart choices ordering. I wanted salsa i got tomatoes not really the same, i should have ordered spicy i got regular. I should have got the chipolata sour cream i got the regular. I got the steak and should have got the shreaded beef or pork. I got hard tacos and should have got soft tacos. Still with all that said i enjoyed my meal and would come again. This isn’t fine dining by any means this is quick and decent prices for decent portions. They make the most of this ridiculously po-dunk space.

While Beyondo falls short of being authentic Mexican cuisine, it is very good food. Think«Mexican food crafted by white guys.» I eat there 1 – 2 times a week and it’s probably the best lunch spot in town

Authentic Mexican food is a term thrown around quite a bit. Taco Beyondo isn’t exactly«authentic» Mexican but then neither is Margaritas or La Carreta. That doesn’t mean it’s not excellent. Taco Beyondo is easily my favorite casual restaurant in the area. After visiting only a couple times, the owner and staff knew my children’s names and our favorite menu items. The food is not fast food — if the restaurant is busy, be prepared to wait 10 minutes(but the wait is well worth it!). All items are made to order and taste delicious. The chicken and steak are always cooked and seasoned perfectly and taste great in a burrito or quesadilla.

No one wanted to cook last night & we(sis, her hubbie & I) decided on something different & chose here. I got the Burrito that has the pulled pork(? the actual name) & I was pleasantly surprised. It was huge & the meat was very tender & it had good flavor. The menu is pretty basic but that is just fine & I look forward to trying other menu items in the near future.

I was very disappointed and can’t understand the positive reviews on this place. Perhaps the other reviewers have never had real Mexican food and hey, this is Hillsborough so you really can’t expect much. My Carne Gringo Taco was primarily filled with lettuce, tomatoes and some shredded cheese. The«carne» amounted to about a tablespoon worth making this $ 3.50 taco a total ripoff. My Carne Gringo Burrito wasn’t much better. Filled primarily with cold beans and cold rice, there wasn’t much meat at all. The tortilla was refrigerator cold, soggy and limp and the entire burrito was totally tasteless. How can supposed Mexican food have no taste? At $ 7.50 this«burrito» didn’t make the grade at all. Food presentation is poor. Paper boats are used as plates and mismatched plastic utensils are not only useless to cut through a soggy burrito, but are a real statement on the owner’s pride. The torn paper napkins were embarrassing for me to use and I couldn’t understand why a recently opened establishment would try to impress their customers in such a manner. The«house music» was being played from one of the employees cell phones. I heard the telltale tone every time he received a text message and I watched him go and check it. Laughable. I couldn’t understand the Tabasco Sauce on the tables. Tabasco Sauce is from Louisiana and not from Mexico. LOL Walmart has quite a variety of «Product of Mexico» hot sauces that retail for about $ 1.39 or so Hint to the owners… get your geography correct. Yes, I was ripped off and yes, I won’t return. Perhaps the owners should educate themselves to a greater level before they try to pass this off as Mexican food. Quite frankly, Taco Bell is far better and that isn’t saying much. 28 January 2015 It’s unfortunate when an owner(or employee) responds to honest criticism in a defensive, negative manner. I’m not going to comment on each individual point, but the purpose of Unilocal is to provide reviews by customers. Considering my experience at this restaurant, I’m not surprised at their response.

Taco Beyondo adds a new flavor in a pizza and sub dominated town. Burritos are stuffed with delicious ingredients and are very filling. Quesadillas are big and chalked full to make them worth while. Add the chipotle crema to your meal to add an extra layer of flavor. Try it once and you’ll want to go back again.

Best Mexican food in the area. I have been there 2 times. First time I was not expecting much, but I was blown away with the attention to detail, the quality of the food and the enthusiasm of the staff and owner /chef. The food is very authentic, and prepped fresh daily. This restaurant delivers the quality you would expect in a large city, but offers it up at a very reasonable small town cost. Hands down on of the 3 best restaurants in the surrounding area. Keep up the good work, looking forward to frequenting this place. Well worth the time to stop in and grab a meal
