They hosted my daughter’s 16th birthday party. She had a blast and her friends thought it was such a unique party to go to. We all dressed up for the occasion. Some in costumes and others in formal attire. My daughter is an extremely picky eater so she created a menu just for her. I really appreciate their flexibility and customer service.

I came here with my mother and my sister to have tea right after Christmas. We made a reservation over the phone; during the phone call I was told at least three times that they do not accept cards for payment, which was a little excessive. Not accepting cards bring my review rating down a bit as I don’t feel like it is reasonable nowadays, but at least they were upfront about it. Our only option due to the holiday /day was their Christmas Tea, which was $ 26 /person. It looks like normally there are different tiers of tea service that you can purchase. We were seated promptly upon our arrival, and we were given a choice of teas from their menu, which also detailed out the various snacks we would get along with our tea service. After receiving our tea(which they steeped in the back), we were given sorbet(delicious!), our choice of two soups, and then finally the three tiered pièce de résistance of sandwiches, scones, and desserts. The tea service was very leisurely, but service was still prompt. The decorations were homey but cute. They had a lot of Christmas decorations that made the tea seem very festive. They also had mismatched(in a fun way) china and serveware. Overall, I enjoyed my experience here. I’ve been to high tea at The Heathman the last couple of years around Christmas, but I didn’t make a reservation early enough this year, which is why we tried out this new place. This wouldn’t be my first choice, but I would definitely recommend if you were looking for something slightly more casual.

This place is a disgrace. The owner threw my aunt out. First she arrives running in a hurry, asked if she wanted to come in and once she was in she told her to get out! That’s she was on a very important phone call and that she needed to concentrate. — First of all lady, if you are on the phone and too busy to attend to your customers why open the damn door and ask her to come in! You are fucking rude and honestly you are phsyco!!! And I will spread the word about you’re place to all my friends and family and also file a complaint with the BBB!!!

This was my third or forth time visiting Tea’s Me. I have never been disappointed. Here is what you do: call ahead, make a reservation, and prepay online. When you prepay online they will also include 15% tip with your order.(It would be nice if there was an option to customize this– however the service has been consistent, but it would be nice to tip after service is completed) The queen’s tea came with all the fix-in’s: soup, sorbet, savory sandwiches, warm scones, petite fours, fresh fruit, and of course a side of lemon curd, clotted cream and jam. They have a large selection of loose leaf teas and a knowledgable staff to help with selections. Leftovers are boxed for you, with a beautiful paper liner, and proper small containers. We didn’t feel rushed and spend 2.5 hours enjoying our lunch. If there was anything to change and I am being picky here: is that their organization could possibly improve. We had to tell the staff a couple times that I had prepaid and the server could have been a bit more attentive. But other then that, it was an excellent experience. I am looking forward to going here for a Christmas celebration in the near future.

Just had my daughter’s bridal shower here. The atmosphere, food, tea, and help were just delightful! Julie was wonderful to work with! Thank you for the beautiful high tea!

I used to go here all the time with my mom and the last time we went there was a hair in her dessert and a piece of plastic in my sandwich. When we told the waitress she just said ok and took it away from us. She never asked if we wanted something different or said sorry. I don’t think we will be going there again for a long time after that service.

My niece a few years back. We got the royalty and it was amazing we were both in shock of how beautiful and look. How friendly the staff was I cannot wait to go back again and again and again such a lovely atmosphere

I’ve been here many times and my review is overdue! This place is very close to the Toyota dealership, and while I was waiting for my car’s service to complete I happened to walk into this place. So anyone who goes to the dealership for any service this is the best place to spend time while you savor your taste buds! Pros 1) Great service, good quality food and conveniently located in Hillsboro… I don’t need to drive all the way to Portland to enjoy a good English Tea :) 2) Love the ambiance 3) Excellent tea variety and lots of tempting merchandise… bring extra cash Cons 1) The owner of this place is VERY Punctual! If I were you I would make a reservation and be there minimum 5 minutes in advance. If you’ll just do a walk-in … you might be told again and again that they are busy or you need to rush… this happened the first time I walked in and a party was scheduled. This can be considered as a Pro as well 2) They only take cash or checks! we were fortunate to have sufficient cash handy 3) There is a minimum plate charge and you cannot split or share… that said it feels a bit pricey Last my hubby and I went there for Valentine’s Day. They add special treats for special days! It’s been almost a year now and I still remember it… must have been a great experience ;)

We have been here several times and each time we’ve come we’ve been welcomed as friends. The food and service are wonderful — the the sorbet and the Happy Hour tea. The proprietors are friendly and take the time to answer any questions we have. Wonderful place for English style tea!

Although I do like tea, a proper tea party usually isn’t my cup of tea.(ha!) But I like this place. My godmother and I have come here twice and gotten the Queen’s Tea. That’s a pretty filling lunch right there with an unlimited pot of tea to go with it. Teas start out with a sorbet to cleanse the palate. then you get a selection of soup followed by your meal on an elegant rack. Depending on which tea you order, there’s a selection of finger sandwiches, quiche, seasonal fruit, scones, and a small tart with a pepper jam. It has been a fun and unique experience for me, not something that I’d normally do, but fun for the day. The teas are excellent. The last one I had was the caffeine free raspberry. However, I have to say, my favorite thing here is the scones. I just wish they came with more scones or bigger ones. They are light and buttery and perfect for spreading the clotted cream or jam on– and one of the scones has real blueberries in it. Checks are also accepted: my godmother wrote one. Definitely make a reservation before you arrive.

My friends and I were looking for something special to do on Easter when I happened upon this place in Unilocal.I’ve been looking for a good English tea place since visiting England a year ago and becoming addicted to clotted cream. I’ve tried a couple of places in California before, but though the locations claimed to have clotted cream, it was not. They serve clotted cream here. That’s reason enough to go, but the scones were also the best I’ve had in the states, warm, slightly sweet but also a little bitter from the baking soda that makes it a perfect pair for the cream. I had a chocolate rosebud black tea, which was amazing. And my friends and I agree that the egg salad finger sandwich was the best we’ve ever had. The service was great, the atmosphere was like you were part of an extended family, and they always checked in to make sure everything was to your liking. My only warning is that it is cash only and reservation only, so just plan accordingly. :)

I’m not into English-tea parties as much as my two friends, but it was a special occasion and I’m always up for trying a new place. I would say for the excellent service and price this is a great place. Yes, you can pay much more for a fancy high-tea at a hotel but Tea’s Me fits a nitch that is more affordable. Pros: 1. Try the house special tea, has hints of chocolate and coconut! 2. Very accommodating to requests to change sweets to savory and some diet restrictions. I loved the scones with clotted cream and lemon curd. 3. Reservations can be made, there is a little semi-private fireplace room tucked in the corner Cons: 1. Location & building surprised me — I’m not really sure where I was in Hillsboro but it wasn’t near anything really. There’s a small parking lot but they weren’t busy. I’d advise to carpool(which is good for socializing anyways)! 2. I know everything is suppose to be dainty, but I love me some clotted cream and lemon curd… I really didn’t want to share the tiny glass dollops of goodness… alas, I was was a proper girl for 1.5 hrs and worked on sharing. Advise: Like any tea place, arrive early or right on time. It’s the standard at tea places to have a set amount of time. They make everything fresh and hot to order so it will take a bit of time to bring out your tiered platters of goodness but that’s kinda the point of tea-time to be me-time. Slow-down-and-enjoy-your-friends-time.

What a great place. It looks small from the outside, but has plenty of room once you enter. A long time friend and I enjoyed a great tea here on a recent visit to the area. It was a quiet Monday visit and we practically had the place to ourselves. The food was great. The tea was yummy. Overall a great find. I will return if I get the chance.
