Fancy Nails

I’ve tried to get my nails done here several times and even though there is no one in the store and there is well over an hour and a half until closing, they never have time. I give them one star for lack of customer service and unwillingness to work.

Love the service and attention that every single employee gives!!! My manicures and pedicures are always the best quality and if I ever experience an issue I know I could always come back at any time and they would fix it free of charge and with a pleasant smile to add! I definitely recommend appointments because they do get busy! You can always try to «walk in» but they honor the appointments first!!! Whoever posted anything less than 5 stars and anything negative is just ridiculous and classless!!! This place is the best!!!

I was a patron of another nail salon in my neighborhood which eventually became a disappointment after switching to Fancy Nails and trying a few different manicurists I eventually got someone that does a great job for me and is now my go to person. I should also add that their pedicures are also fantastic with a lovely hot stone treatment included. I highly recommend Fancy Nails.

I went here today after reading great reviews. I walked in at 3pm, there were 2 women customers and 3 employees. The woman sitting closest to the door looked up and asked if I had an appointment — I said no — there is a giant sign on the door that says WALK INS WELCOME. She said «oh. Then we can’t fit you in. Sorry.» I left and will NOT be back. How rude of them, don’t bother advertising walk ins if you can’t do it.

They were able to fit me in for a last minute pedicure before New Years and I think I’ve found my new go to nail salon in the area (after several other disappointing results at other salons). They are efficient, professional and do a very thorough job. Plus the staff are all extremely pleasant. Would highly recommend.

After reading all the positive reviews on Fancy Nails I decided to give them a try. I stopped in yesterday to inquire about something specific I wanted to make an appointment for and the owner made me feel so unwelcomed. She was unfriendly and down right rude. I left without making my appointment. I will not spend my hard earned money on a company that practices poor customer service. I am very disappointed especially after thinking this would be a great nail salon after reading so many positive comments on here.

I have only had one appointment and I can say I’ll definitely be back. The staff is very friendly and professional. The salon is very clean and ambiance is nice. They know everyone by name. Very good experience!

Found this gem of a place by accident. Right near Retro Fitness. I have now been going for almost a year and even if my usual manicurist Cindy is not available and I am placed with aother — its always a topnotch job (gel manicure and acrylic). Havent broken a nail since going and never a nick or smudge. And yes — they remember you, treat you like family and remember your name! Christina L. Hillsborough, NJ

I had a 9:30 am nail appointment, I was a little annoyed when I was still waiting at 9:40 only because I was on a tight schedule that day.
Cindy did my gel manicure in literally 15 minutes not only was it fast but I honestly think it was the best one I’ve ever gotten very neat and long lasting, she made my experience the best, I also love the fact that she and the rest of the staff all speak fluent English so I can really explain what id like!
I won’t go anywhere else now!

Tracy and her staff are terrific. They always remember names and treat everyone like family. The newly updated salon has a pleasant spa like atmosphere, and I always leave with a positive experience. Come for the excellent service, stay for the conversation. I’ve been coming back for years and will continue to do so.

Although this happened a couple of months ago, it still is bothering me and I had to write about it. I had a 9am appt on a Monday morning with Cindy. Waited outside until 9:15am when one of the nail technicians came and waited outside with me (only Cindy had a key). At 9:20am, Cindy called the other technician on her cell to tell her that she was running late and wouldn’t be there for another 20 — 25 minutes and asked her to relay that to me. The technician asked if I would stay until she got there and I told her that I already waited 20 minutes and that I would come back but that I wasn’t happy. I was told it «wasn’t her fault that she lived so far away» but that she understood why I was upset and assured me that I wouldn’t have to wait when I came back. I returned at 9:47am. Cindy told me that too bad I didn’t come a few minutes sooner because now her 10am appt would have to wait too long and, as a result, I would have to reschedule. I told her my conversation with the nail technician and that I came back when she told me to, and Cindy insisted that I told the nail technician that I would call back and reschedule. Needless to say, I never went back. Wonder if the owner knows who she has running her business in the mornings. I think I’d want to know. Especially since I’ve been telling all of my Hillsborough friends what happened.

My favorite nail salon!
I have been going there for years. All the staff is friendly and helpful. And the best part is everyone speaks English. The salon is clean and orderly. Desyre is fabulous! Prices are in line with others in the area. And they always do a fantastic job, my nails always look great! Love them all.

I’ve been here a couple of times. The last time, I got a french shellac by Tracy. It was pretty good– lasted for over 2 weeks until my nails were too long. A bit pricey, but in this area, that’s what you pay. Overall, pretty good.

These guys really value their customers. I walked in to find out they had a fully booked schedule and Tracy asked me to come back or wait an hour. I decided to wait. As much as it felt rushed, she did a great job on my shellac french. It lasted 2.5 weeks and you could only see growth and barely chipping in some spots if you looked really close. I could’ve gone longer but my nails were getting too long. They’re nice people. I just wish these guys weren’t working on 3 different people at a time, but they stated they were shorthanded. Price is competitive but a few bucks less than in Montgomery. I will probably go back again before I move!

17-​minute pedicure, sloppy polish, $ 25… the rush-​job alone would have been enough to prevent me from EVER going there again.
However, in the middle of that night, I woke up with some crazy itching and burning on the bottom of my feet. It only lasted about 3 minutes and hasn’t come back, but that’s never happened to me before and kind of freaked me out… !

Let’s sart with the most important part… at least for me it is… EVERYONE HERE SPEAKS ENGLISH!!! Can we say Thank God?! All of the nail techs do fantastic work! No lopsided nails, uneven polish or jacked up pedi’s! They all do a wonderful job and use top of the line products! I love my manicurist– Desyre :) She is so good at doing my pink and whites, really listens to what I want, gives me feedback on anything she sees or thinks might work well or not work well on me.
They are priced well– comprable to their competitors if not slightly less. They do offer waxing as well, do pedicures and do manicures from basic to acrylic, gels, pink and whites, gel polish and fix emergency breaks or repairs!
I HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECCOMEND THEM!
