I will start by saying this review was NOT based on food quality since we never got the chance to eat there. We live 20 minutes away and asked what time they quit serving. «11:30» was the reply. Imagine how surprised we were when we arrived at 11:13 only to be told by the people running the restaurant, «CLOSED!» I guess 11:13 is 11:30ECT(Eastern Crazy Time). My suggestion is to say you are closing at 11:00 if you want to leave early or you will run the chance of looking stupid and driving potential customers(like us) away!

Order from a buffet type line of limp bacon, hash browns were a fried potato cake, etc. Two of us were served separately, apparently with only one cook. But the eggs were cooked to order.

This is a little Hillsborough spot that gets busy at times. The food is good but it takes a while to get it because it is only cooked when ordered(breakfast), lunch is offered every day but the time I have been in there, the lunch choices are always the same. BBQ Ribs, BBQ Chicken, Baked Chicken, etc. Side are usually the same also. The owners are a husband and wife team, VERY nice but the husband doesn’t speak or understand English very well, and sometimes appears a little«frayed»(like he’s trying to do to much). They wife does speak good English. No one else works there. Two Small seating areas with nice flat screens on the wall.

Good solid southern food, with a Chinese flair! Not fancy. I go whenever I’m in Hillsborough.

Fast service and delicious, well-cooked food! Highly recommended! We had eggs, pancakes, bacon, and grits. The eggs were ordered over medium and were absolutely perfect, and that’s not to easy to do. The pancake was crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy inside, again, perfect. I really like this place.

Great breakfast joint. Cheap, delicious, quick. The staff is adorable and friendly. The place could use some sprucing up and isn’t in the best location… but that’s not a deal breaker for me.

Pancakes, omelets, french toast, burgers, chicken sandwiches, pulled pork sandwiches, ribs, corn, greens, beans and chinese stir fried beef are some of the items served here. They have a big following for breakfast with a small buffet of food that is kind of like cafeteria style with the mom & pop operation going here. The food is not blow your mind good, but decent and well worth the tiny tiniest of prices for the food. In a word, value. How can you go wrong with a place that has hamburgers, cheeseburgers, chicken sandwiches, BBQ sandwiches and a few other items under $ 2.00EACH? Sure, i’d go back here. I had the ¼ bbq chicken lunch special with pinto beans & turnip greens for under $ 5.49. It was good. Jack’s wife said the bbq chicken is very popular. It was good, coated in a thin sauce. Very friendly place. Jack’s wife even carried my plate to the table for me. Probably because she was not busy. Staff B Food C Décor D Location D Health Inspection grade 92.5

Perfectly good solid breakfast joint. Only been here once but I would go again without hesitation. Nothing special, but solid.
