This is one of my favorite pizza places and this particular location has always offered the best food, service and atmosphere. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The restaurant is always clean and most importantly the bathrooms are clean I would recommend this particular location and brand to all my family and friends every time I am in town this is where we go Bravo to the staff and management. I have visited several pizza places while in Chicago and I must say this place tops them all.

I travel all the way from the west side of Chicago to get their sausage pizza with garlic butter and the Chicken Caesar salad. And I love the fact that the General Manager is onsite. The customer service that she provided was indescribable. She always smiled, was very friendly and attentive. For good quality food AND service I’ll continue to come back and tell everyone about HRI — Hillside. Stephanie M.

We used to come here at least once a week for lunch with my co-workers. The buffet was a good price and the pizza is yummy. I don’t remember the service being exceptional, but the food was always good and warm.

We ordered online and the it said we could pick up in 15 minutes. Wow, that’s fast, I thought. Well we got there in about 20 minutes and then waited there another 25 minutes before it was ready. Being off by 30 minutes was pretty ridiculous! But onto the food, we got a pepperoni and 1947. The pepperoni was ok, the 1947 was super tasty. It was packed full of toppings and cooked perfectly. I’d go again, but I’d try calling in the order to make sure they can give me an accurate pick up time.

HORRIBLEHORRIBLESERVICE!!! is a damn shame. Utensils and glasses for drinks are super dirty!!! Is an embarrassment and I’m truly ashamed I went there for dinner. Sure the pizza is ok. But is expected since is a franchise. I WON’T BEBACK

I’ve always really liked Home Run Inn pizza… but honestly, I’ve only had it about 3 times my entire life. I was a late bloomer to HRI…(this being the 4th). Locations are far and few between these days… Sadly, they closed in my area years ago… so while I was shopping in this newer outdoor mall, I noticed a nice looking establishment for HRI… a friend had never tried their pizza, and being that she loves pizza, I suggested we HAD to stop here for an early dinner since we were starving… and yeah, I never pass on pizza opportunities… The place was buzzing with customers around 4:30 on a weekend… Nice set-up inside, definitely«new» looking… Hostess and waitress were friendly and service was great. No complaints whatsoever… and our food was out in no time! My eyes were bigger than my tummy… I was almost going to order a small pizza(12″) and noticed they had personal size 8″(looked more like 10″ after receiving). Our server was really nice and mentioned that for $ 3 more, we could get a salad… that sounded like the reasonable thing to do being I could never eat an entire 12″ in one sitting. So we went with two personal pizzas: Laura’s Favorite(plum tomatoes & spinach) & I ordered one of their«unique» pizzas: Grilled Artichoke, Roasted Garlic & Spinach with wine cream sauce. I’ve had this before and absolutely LOVEDIT… The garlic on this is whole… and while I like garlic, I don’t like eating whole cloves of it, so I got it without… I love that you can get a personal size in any one of the selections they offer, and are not restricted to only«some»…you can build your own as well… all on their famously delicious«butter crust»…$ 10.00. We ordered the Mozzarella Stick app… haven’t had these in ages and holy mozzarella, were these good!!! The fried coating was freakingly addicting and crispy… served w/side of Marinara… These may JUST be mozz sticks to you, but they are some of the best sticks I’ve had… you get 10 and nope, we didn’t finish them… The side Caesar salad was more of an ‘entrée’ size portion… for $ 3 more, this was a GREAT deal being the regular is $ 8.29…definitely go this route if your craving salad with your pizza(or super hungry). I was surprised at how big this salad was… love that it comes with garbanzo beans and sprinkled with crispy bacon… Romaine was very fresh. Really good salad & great portion. What can I say about HRI pizza? They make a unique, crispy, butter crust I happen to enjoy. Friend said it reminds her of Lou Malnati’s crust(she is a fan)… I get the comparison too… Toppings are fresh, good quality cheese… my wine sauce was lightly creamy, not heavy. no wine flavor… plenty of artichokes… so good. if your a fan of artichokes, I recommend this. She liked her plum tomato(not a ‘sauce’)…nice balance of toppings… I’ve made a Fan out of her! They offer Gluten Free pizza in 10″ size only… good selection of wings, salads, scratch made soups, pasta dishes, sandwiches, kids menu & desserts… I’d come back to this location in a heart beat… Excellent, fast service… great, fresh portions at a value… and some unique, tasty pizza you don’t want to miss…

I came here with my sister for a quick lunch and we ended up staying for a bit longer just enjoying our food and talking. The atmosphere of this place is welcoming and clean with great service. The waitress was very attentive and pleasant. We both got the personal pizzas and they had a perfect thin crust topped with delicious ingredients. I was very pleasantly surprised and plan to go back!

Pizza is very good here. My kids enjoy the slices. Every time my family goes management is present and supporting employees and maintaining a very clean store. Good customer service and fast. I grew up in this neighborhood and will continue to support a great establishment and addition to the community.

Service was abysmal. Zero care for the customer. Is it that hard to open beer bottle for me? Can’t even read the board of drink specials when I ask what drink specials there are I get a response of «none really» interesting because your board says otherwise. Ordered a small pizza yet a large comes out. We ate it but I don’t appreciate the sneaky $ 10 upcharge by the waiter. Don’t think it’s hard to crack a smile. Someone clearly loves their job. Servers rolling silverware to the backs of their customers. This place was dead and I understand why. Food was okay, but now I much rather visit Darien location where they care more about leaving their customers satisfied and actually listen to what customer orders.

Enjoyed a leisurely lunch with my husband. Each of us ordered our own personal pizza and salad. It was just the right size. Our waitress was on it with the pop refills. Recommend going here for a quaint meal.

Dining there or picking up, I always have a pleasant experience here. Employees are nice and take care of you right away. The pizza can’t be beat! The garlic crust is subtle but really makes a difference. It gets pretty crowded, so just expect that. Have not had the lunch special, but it seems like a good deal. In general, I just wish Home Run Inn had more salad options on their menu.

I am really fussy about Pizza since I had my share of eating so many in the Chicagoland Areas. My father’s company«Columbus Foods» sells the oil for the crust and since my Dine in @ Hillside, IL I still am unimpressed by their pizza. I actually like their Chicken Tenders as an appetizer more than their pizza which is ironic. I would go here for their Chicken Tender’s Only. As for the service @ Hillside I think they we’re great. I just don’t like«Home Run Inn Pizza». They also need to ad soups as appetizer’s on their menu. I do not think Fries of not Chicken Tenders goes well with Pizza.

The doors were about to close in 3 minutes before 9:30pm and the staff was unbelievably friendly. The didn’t hesitate to serve us with a smile. We ordered it for take out. Our order was correct, yummy,(especially those signature garlic bread-so good!) and completely cooked — they didn’t rush it. I was so pleased! Thank you night crew! The lady that locked the door that night, I’m assuming a manager, even begun a short convo with me as we waited — so nice!

This is the last time I will darken the doors of this place. The pizza was runny and the toppings did not stay on the crust. My chef friend said it was not cooked long enough. We have had Home Run frozen pizza at home which was much better. The staff was fairly busy and gave us good service. The food is not good for those prices. My wife, a home economist, thought the same about the food.

Pizza is alright, but the frozen is actually waaaay better. I’ll keep buying the frozen, and skip going to the restaurant. Also, the potato skins have nacho cheese instead of actual baked cheese and don’t have flavor. Their salad was good though. Service sub-par.

They wouldn’t use my 5 bucks off coupon. Mind you Unilocal gave me the coupon for checking in. Own up to your offer.

By far, the worst service I’ve ever had at a restaurant. My gf and I waited a good ten minutes before the server even came over. Once she finally did come over, she didn’t say«hello» or say her name(my gf thinks she did say her name; Latoya or something like that). She then proceeded to flip a page on her notebook and say«Ok I’m ready». Just seemed like she had no interest in being there. We gave her our pizza order and then never bothered to ask us for our drink order; which should have been the first thing to do. After taking the order, she proceeded to socialize with the other servers and then put in our order. The next time we saw her, she brought 4 drinks which seemed very odd. She put them all in front of us, I asked what were the other two drinks for and she said«In case we get busy, those are your refills»…pure F’n laziness!!! She didn’t even put ice in the second set of drinks. She did the same thing with the drinks of the table next to us. After we ate and she rang us up, she brought over the receipts and just stood there watching me calculate her tip and sign the bill! She should thank her lucky stars I gave her anything. It was just an awful experience brought on by a person that has absolutely ZERO clue of what customer service is. Latoya, or whatever your name is(since you really didn’t tell us), get a new line of work! The one-star rating was for the hostess, who was friendly and welcoming, and for the pizza.
