Worst place ever! The service was super slow. Took an hour for our food to come. Made reservations a week ahead for tsunami room and they put us outside instead. And no one was in the tsunami room. When our food got served it was cold the oil was turning white from the food. Manager was very disrespectful towards us also. Saying it was our fault! DONT EVER EAT THERE!!! Worst place in town

Just left there after what you can call horrendous service, our server was horrendous didn’t greet just told us to sit anywhere brought the menus still didn’t say hi put our menus upside down on the table, while taking our orders she didn’t offer our choices that comes with the meal she assumed macaroni salad is what we were getting. We waited 30 minutes for our food and while it was presented very nicely on the plate the taste is best described as alright my rice tasted like it was reheated, I took two bites of it and was done, the main entrée was good, for what they charge I expected much better service and a tasty meal. I even had to ask for a fork and napkin so my husband could eat his meal unbelievable, she got them and said here. I’m not going back and I would not recommend this place. Your people should at the very least say hi to potential diners at your restaurant. Very very disappointed

This was a great pick for lunch. The food was great, PHO, pulled pork quesadilla, and kimchi fried rice. Who would have thought! It was all fantastic.

Ono fish n chips was a little fishy but flavorful. Chicken teriyaki sandy was good but had lots of skin left in. Waitress was friendly and personal

While visiting family in Hilo, this was our final eaterie. The servive was beyond friendly. I’m so glad Honolulu doesn’t have a restaurant is great.
We have Zippy’s, but thats fine for Oahu.
The food, service and prices are all WONDERFUL.
another reason to come to the Big Island.

Don’t waste your time at this joint! The food was horrible! My daughter and I shared a Swiss mushroom burger and Spring Roll noodle Salad. Our burger was not only over cooked, but dry, burnt (and I mean BURNT) and cold! Our Spring Roll Noodle Salad wasn’t any better. The Vermicelli Cold noodles resembled spaghetti noodles. Be warned… go elsewhere!

We like the bar for a happy hour drink, food and ambiance.
Usually there’s a live band which is cool, however at 5PM for a drink and bite it’s impossible to talk over the music with friends. For this reason we’ll go someplace else to talk story, drink or two with bar food. It’s unfortunate because we like the place. Loud music has its place for sure, but for us not so loud for happy hour, mahalo.

The food is great but the service not so good. I’m sitting here now waiting for our waitress because I need a refill for my ice tea. Just got up and refilled my own ice tea and the table next to ours needed water so I refilled theirs. Damn it I better get a discount on my bill!

HORRIBLE SERVICE! Luckily we sat down soon as we got in. BUT WAITED FOREVER for service. Other parties were coming in and they weren’t even being acknowledge. Some sat down and the table wasn’t cleaned from the previous party. Never again!!!

Fun place. Good beer and good food. Could use some bigger tv’s outside to watch the game on though.

Have not been here for a while but I’d rather watch NFL here than at cronnies. Cronnies always gives you the bums rush. Great calamari and soy beans! Great service and good beer prices. waitress Star is a gem! Aloha found here, except Pats fans…

It’s been a year since my original visit and it was convenient to stop in again. I should have remembered my earlier experience. The server acted like she would rather be doing anything other than waiting on me. Ordered the pork adobo with white rice and potato/​mac salad.
1. The pork was so tough I had to cut it with a knife. This was not fresh. Very chewy and almost no flavor.
2. The two scoops of rice could have been used as tennis balls. I like «sticky» rice, but this was extreme.
3. What was supposed to be potato/​mac salad was a scoop of something that had small noodles. I could not find any potato or macaroni.
I should have gone to Ken’s, only a block away.

The band is quite entertaining and so are the people who come here. They cover a lot of Maroon 5 songs which I can’t complain. Don’t get the calamari unless you like it REALLY salty!

This restaurant is very clean and nicely set up, not too crowded, good distance of tables from each other. Service was great, was greeted by two young ladies, very attentive and friendly, that made me feel good and welcomed. Décor is nice.
Quality of food is not exceptional nor is excellent. It’s average. I ordered their grilled mahimahi for $ 13.00, but was disappointed because fish was not fresh, stale somewhat, and was obvious the fish was previously frozen. Quality of rice wasn’t the best cooked white rice, little mushy and inconsistent in texture. Overall I’ll rate food quality based on my fish plate experience as 2 stars. I will not order this fish plate if I go there again. Omelette was good nicely made with good portion. Happy Eating!

We’ve been a customer at this Bar for a long time. We enjoyed the band music, eating appetizer food, and drinking local beer. We average close to $ 50 on tab every time we go there.
But tonite it was different. I ordered a local tap beer and a glass of water for my designated driver wife. The new bartender wanted to charge $ 4 for tap water that we used to get gratis. I talked to the owner. He was very rude and told me that if that was too expensive and can’t afford it, go someplace else.
So I closed my tab, charge $ 6 for the beer on my card, left no tip, and left. Never to go back here again.
Customers should be treated better if they want to stay in business.

Had lunch here. I had the teriyaki chicken which, although was cooked good, the flavor just wasn’t there. The dish said it came with steamed veggies. Instead, it was like frozen bagged veggies or canned veggies because it was too mushy. I was expecting steamed fresh veggies with that fresh crunch to it. My water had pieces of black stuff in it. The entrée I ordered just was not what I expected.

Disappointed.
My friend went with her girlfriends as the DD (Designated Driver) and asked for some water. She was denied free water as the DD. Was told she had to buy something.
Lame.

This is the second visit here, I see improvement. The first visit was not good, unresponsive service, mediocre food. This visit was much more pleasant, our waitress was nice and kept an eye on our coffee. Also, I got a special, luau omelette. Of was kalua pork and Lomi salmon in an omelette. Tasted good, had some fat in it though. It also came with a piece of haupia, which was pretty good. The coffee wasn’t the best, tasted almost like instant… blarg.
Overall, much better service, food OK, coffee kinda nasty.
