I flippen love this shop! My wife gets most of our produce here. Seriously great people too, super friendly and easy to talk to. It’s a small little store, but have quality items at great prices. Their grass fed beef is also the best in town.

If you want Hawaiian local food products– this is place. I was searching for Breadfruit products and this place held some hidden gems. Lots of interesting and unique products to be found here. Staff is passionate about what they and the products they carry. Definitely worth a visit! … And another visit because you will always find a new treasure

I love that Locavore encourages us all to eat more consciously-​choose locally grown & produced items and it’s not any more expensive than other stores. The staff is consistently helpful. displays are really attractive. Check it out! Mahalo!

I came to visit to see what this store had. I was greeted and welcomed very warmly as I entered the store. There was a variety of things to choose from. I think I came on the wrong day because there was not much produce displayed. When asking questions to the cashier she was very friendly and very helpful. Overall it was a nice experience.

I stop here on my way home from work about once a week. Love bringing home little surprises. They typically have stuff that the farmers market doesn’t have, though they are seasonal or have what’s available. The prices are fair for the quality and the fact that everything is locally grown or produced. Great avocados.

We were driving downtown and took a road to lead us back to the highway when we seen the locavore. We’ve never heard of it before and had to check it out. The lady inside was super friendly. She explained that they moved from pahoa to town and just opened in december.
She also explained that it’s ALL local and if people want to sell items it HAS to be 2/​3s of local product! How great! A place for local farmers and us to shop!
It’s a bit pricy but if it helps the money stay here it’s totally worth it!

Super awesome REALLY high quality, and many times BETTER prices than the health food store or farmers market. Love this store! The owners do an AMAZING job at quality control and it feels so good to be supporting local farmers and artisans. Can’t say enough about this place and so grateful we have an outlet like this on the Big Island. Truly a service to the community and visitors alike!
