This is a store conveniently located near our hotel. We dropped in to get some fruit(just okay) and bottles of water for the day. I also got a visor for the day since it was going to rain. They have prepackaged sandwiches made for the day. They also make coffee if you need a kickstart. If you forgot to bring something, you can probably find it here.

Absolutely affordable snacks and souvenirs. The staff were really friendly and helpful. They were helping people out with directions, shortcuts, and suggestions. They have ice cream and pretty much everything else in between. Its walking distance from the hotels in the area which is really nice.

The reviews here are pretty spot on. The prices are a bit higher than they should be, but you are paying for convenience. I was hungry one late night and was too lazy to walk to Ken’s and order there so I just went here while staying at Uncle Billy’s. I got a chicken salad sandwich which was maybe $ 5 and 2 scoops of ice cream which were another $ 5. The sandwich was actually pretty good and kept with like a 2 inch cookie which although tiny, was very tasty. Likewise the ice cream was good. Girl working there was unfriendly.

Good selection and very friendly but part of a resort so a bit pricey. They charge $.05 for a bag if you don’t bring your own. Very convenient to several hotels, including Hilo Seaside where I was staying. The walk along Banyan Dr between the 2 was pleasant; shaded with a nice breeze from the water.

The extremely unfriendly ladies working at the cash register ruined the fun of the store. I live in Hilo and experienced what visitors must endure on a daily basis their. We need to show the patience, love and feeling of Aloha to our guests and locals. This impatient and creepy attitude is what people take away with them. Jobs are scarce and need to be given to kind, friendly, patient, and capable people.

Uncle Billy’s General Store is located right next to the Naniloa Hotel where we were staying so it was very convenient to stop in for supplies like bottled water and snacks. A single scoop ice cream cone was $ 4.59. At first, I thought the prices were ridiculously high then I had to remind myself that I have to think«resort» prices, not supermarket and it was ok. We actually stayed in Uncle Billy Hilo Hotel, the general store was very convenient during our stay. The prices were reasonable. They have everything from snorkel gear to food.

Our tour group(Discover Hawaii Tours) brought us here for midmorning snacks before visiting some other sites in Hilo. The prices were fairly reasonable, and this place has a good variety of bagels, pastries, sandwiches, and other filling and fairly healthy fare. Plus, the first real coffee we had access to all day! It’s part of a wider hotel complex, but as far as general stores go, this one isn’t so bad. We also picked up some reasonably-priced kona coffee to bring back home!
