Golf Club At Indigo Run

Tough course, in good shape. Tricky in the Nicklaus way.
No longer has GPS (helpful pointing out hazards).
Deals abound– cheaper than when I last played over 3 years ago. LMTT got us a rate of $ 55 including tax, for an 830 tee time. Hard to beat.

I was fortunate to get an invite to play the Nicholas (1 and 2) designed Indigo Run Golf Course. From the back tees, the course plays 7,072 for a par of 72. The course rating is 74.2 and it has a slope rating of 138. Beautiful woodlands in which Jack worked magically with the land,
The fairways afford generous landing areas, the greens are well bunker-​ed and water hazards come into play on twelve holes. Very traditional Jack design and challenging the left side off most teeing areas with a slight fade is a good play. Hitting the ball far (which I go) will not help you here, finess, touch and imagination will.
I felt very at ease at this course, when typically I get a little uptight and then play aggressive golf, which is not a good thing. It was if I put my game on cruse control and let it happen. That is not to say the course is easy, far from it, you will need to think like Jack, strike the ball well, pick smart areas to target (away from danger) and be happy with your pars.
A must for vacationers and locals.
