Was a fun time renting kayaks for an hour from here to explore the waterways. It was not as nice as where I typically kayak, but it was peaceful and would be a good place for beginners to check out. Also, considering it is in a tourist setting right next to a resort, the prices were not bad! All in all, it was a nice change of pace for a late morning excursion :)

Wasn’t too pleased. Their quality wasn’t what I thought it was going to be. Front hub squeaked and the handlebars were sticky. Plus they messed up our order in the beginning, had to wait till the next day to get a replacement because they were«busy». I sent them back and ordered from someone else.

We took a 4.5 hour Kayak excursion. Your party is shuttled to a private island about 25 minutes away by power boat to their private island. They have nice washroom faculties on their island and it is a great place to hang out in a hammock overlooking the salt marsh when waiting for the return ride. Sean Wood was our Guide. He was great with our 9 year old son and super knowledgeable about the wildlife and salt marsh. If you have never Kayaked do not worry. The water is calm and no boats passed us. You get splashed a bit but it is highly unlikely that you would tip. Pace is dictated by the group. An excursion you can bring grandpa and grandma on if they are active. Pay the extra money to kayak with a guide. Way better than paddling around a marina. You will have fun and learn a lot about the environment and wildlife. Don’t forget to tip your guide if they are helpful and teach you something. We will use them again when we come back.

Spring Break 2015 was our first trip to Hilton Head Island. We were staying at the Marriott Resort. They had bikes but 9⁄10 were not working and they did not offer the extras we needed for our littles. We are a large family with small children. We were not 100% sure of what we needed but the team here set us up quickly on appropriate size bikes and made recommendations to accommodate us all. They also gave us tips on where to ride that would be safe etc. The prices were very fair and the bikes were in great shape! We had a lot of fun on this trip, but my family talks more about how much FUN they had on the bikes more than anything else we did.

JT was extremely helpful. He found a tandem bike for me and my son when we were originally told they were all rented out. He replaced a broken kick stand on it. He also helped my son with his helmet.

We were staying in Palmetto Dunes and found that this place had the best selection, best prices, and best customer service! For no charge, they even delivered all the bikes that we reserved(which we made all the reservations online) and picked them up the day that we left. It really helped us out since we had no way of transporting the bikes ourselves. If you are looking for a bike rental during your stay in Palmetto Dunes, look no further and go here… highly recommended!

This place has everything you need to get around no matter what your family looks like. Bikes with child seats that fit kids up to four. Then when they graduate to riding themselves they have tandem bikes for an adult and kid. They provide baskets and helmets as well. They also rent kayaks.

I really liked this place. Stayed at adjacent Omni Resort, which was a quick walk over. I was able to make the reservation over the phone, and service was continuous all the way up to my arrival on the island. Price was very reasonable for a bike rental, and Alan was accommodating in getting me a bike that I wanted(I am a bit of a bike snob). I also got an awesome shirt there for $ 15 bucks. Considering how pricy this area can be, I was very happy. When I had to return the bike, but wasn’t going to make it before the shop closed, Alan just told me I could lock it up at the Omni and they would come get it in the morning. Over and beyond!

Great place to rent a beach cruiser. When we were staying at the nearby Marriott, the hotel was renting bikes for $ 25/day, but we went to Palmetto Dunes Outfitters right next door and rented bikes for half that price, and the service was quick and friendly. They rent beach cruisers and have those little trailers for kids too. Another service I wish I had time for is their kayak rental. The lagoons around that area are beautiful and full of fish. I’d have enjoyed a kayak fishing trip.
