The location has changed so some may be nostalgic for Pineland Station. Not us. With food that is always good and often great we will keep coming back wherever il carpaccio moves to on the island. In fact it was so good for lunch we went back for diner with family and they loved it as well.

First time on the island, was recommended by a friend of a friend. We called and made a reservation for 7pm on a Saturday. Upon getting there we were immediately seated by the owner who wished us a happy new year. Service was great and the food was even better. Our table of 6 got a variety of pastas, pizzas and chicken. Not one complaint from anyone, everything was delicious and very fairly priced

Wanted to try the new location so made a reservation for Sat. evening. Big mistake! We were seated in a cramped table next to loud diners. We waited nearly 1 hour for our appetizer while diners near us who arrived after we’re on their main course. Food was mediocre.

First time in Hilton Head and first time here. We were seated right away on a Friday night around 8pm. The restaurant was less than half full which I found strange. We were in a bit of a hurry so we ordered right away, pizza and a penne pasta dish with Italian sausage. I also ordered a glass of wine which arrived AFTER the meal did. The pizza was average but the pasta was fantastic! It was beyond delicious and I could have gone for seconds. Prices were reasonable and the waitstaff were friendly enough. All in all it hit the spot and got us on our way quickly.

Since they moved to Museum St., we’ve been there a few times, sitting at a table once and at the bar otherwise. I have to say the entrees are pretty good by Hilton Head Italian restaurant moderately-priced standards(that is, not by Ombra’s standards) — and that’s a good thing, given the fact that so many restaurants here are expensive. Great tiramisu, too. They did an o.k. job refurbishing, although the bar and back-bar could use some TLC. Just one downer: the owner(and host, unfortunately) has absolutely no personality, doesn’t make small talk, and seems to lack a customer-service mentality. That may seem like a small detail, but he’s constantly bustling around, dressed(appropriately given his personality) in black and it takes a bit of an effort to ignore him and his gloomy countenance. I’d suggest he makes one of his excellent and personable Latina servers a hostess, leaving him free to scuttle about as sort of a senior busboy.

Have been a patron of this restaurant for years, so was interested in trying them in the new location. Menu has not changed a lot, which is fine with me. Food was excellent as always. Service is lacking. They just don’t seem to have it together yet. There are two entrances in the new place, but the owner is still the only greeter. We stood around so long that we asked if we were standing at the wrong door. We were told he’d be with us in a minute… twice. We never figured out who our waitress was, but everyone we flagged down seemed glad to help us. I’ll go back, hoping they’ve ironed out the wrinkles.

This place is absolutely delicious! The food is authentic Italian and everything always tastes so fresh and well-prepared. I have tried several different dishes here and they have all been excellent! The staff is very friendly too. You are guaranteed to have a wonderful experience here!

Where do I start? We had reservations at 7:30, we walked in the door and not a single person greeted us until 7:50. We finally were seated, with out menus. Olive oil is now an extra charge to go with bread. We asked 5 times for butter before we got it. We couldn’t find our waitress many time, only to see them gathered around talking at the bar. Food wasn’t up to par. And the waitress openly told us the kitchen was struggling– a no-no. My family has been coming to this restaurant for the past 10 years. And service has gone downhill badly since moving to their new location. We will not be returning.

The chicken was superb and the broccoli tender crisp. The service was great as well! No complaints! Loved it!
