Wait times here are often pretty long and calling ahead does nothing. It seems to be one of the few options for a kid’s cut but the results are hit or miss. Some of the employees are really nice and do a good job, but I wouldn’t recommend it going there if you can avoid it.

I’ve been going to this location for 3 years now and only had 1 occurrence where I didn’t like my cut. 3 years * 18 cuts(roughly 1 to 2 cuts a month for me) = 54 with 1 bad is about a 98.2% satisfaction rate for me. All the girls here are very friendly and I always seems to have an interesting conversation with whoever I get. Recently I’ve requested Alysha, who’s fairly new, but kills it with my cuts. She takes her time to make sure it comes out right and even gives her input on the cut itself and styling.

What does calling ahead to make an appointment get for you? Nothing. I called to make an appt 45 minutes ahead. Arrived 10 minutes early, then still waited 40 minutes. I assumed I would be next. Nope! I left and will never go back. How hard can it be to make appointments and keep their schedule? Apparently the answer is «very».

In general Supercuts are getting pricey for a man who gets a buzz cut. In particular this location when it gets busy gets overwhelmed and wait times get much longer than advertised.

Just went to get a haircut. .. a few people in chairs in front of me. After I had been waiting about 15 minutes some guy comes in a plays the«I’m in a hurry» card scam. He was taken about 2 minutes later. .. no asking me if that was okay with me, etc. Rude, inconsiderate, horrendous management. NEVER will go there again.

I have had my hair cut and colored here several times and been extremely pleased. Today I took my son for a haircut. Kathleen did an amazing, thorough job. He was thrilled, as was I. Friendly, professional and fast.

Took my 10 year old daughter there yesterday and was charged $ 35.95 for a wash, cut and dry. If this was an upscale salon maybe I could see those kinds of prices. but at Supercuts? Come on. and the woman was extremely rude. Never again.Robert Lyons across the street charges $ 20, is a real salon and does a much better job.

After my hairstylist of almost 20 years was going to be out of work for a few months due to surgery, I had to find another hair salon, especially where she is so far away from home and I wanted to find one that was closer. In that time, I’ve gone to a few different salons, and none of them really styled my hair just the way I like it. Then I started going to Shannon at this Supercuts location, and I do believe I’ve found my new hair stylist! At first, I didn’t want to go to Supercuts because I generally try to stay away from big chains. But because of the good reviews on Unilocal,and my inability to find anyone else who could give my hair that magic touch, I decided to give Supercuts a try. I was able to come during my lunch break after I called to let them know. No appointment is necessary. In fact, they don’t schedule appointments unless it’s for the same day. Shannon cut my hair, and did a terrific job. She’s a very friendly person and gets the customer in and out quick. She’s cut my hair twice now, and both times I’ve been very happy. You also can’t beat the price. $ 16 for a men’s haircut is the lowest I’ve paid in decades. Not that I care about price too much, because you generally get what you pay for. But that’s what makes Supercuts so special. You get fast friendly service and a great haircut at a reasonable price. I highly recommend this salon, and highly recommend Shannon!

Never, ever, ever will I visit a Supercuts again. I just had the worst haircut I’ve ever had. My hair was quite long to begin with. I asked that in the end, I wanted it long enough to put up and a straight cut that was shorter in back angling to longer in the front. None of this happened. My hair is less than an inch long in the back — way to short to put up– and no shorter than the front! The whole thing is crooked; there are actually some clumps that are more than ½ inch longer than hair right next to it. Was this hairdresser kidding? Was she on drugs? There was a father and son at the counter when I arrived explaining that the cut the son had was not not what they asked for, starting with their request that nothing be taken off tha back and this poor kid had the bottom of his hair line about ½ inch above his tan line! But was I smart enough to make sure I didn’t get who he got? Now I bet I know who cut his hair! I wasn’t charged but this doesn’t begin to make up for what was done.

Here is a case of «you get what you pay for» not being true. Hairstylist Danielle has cut and highlighted my hair numerous times and every single time I am happy with the results. She takes her time and doesn’t rush through the cut like at other Supercuts sites. I’ve recommended her to quite a few people who have complimented my cut and highlights and then cannot believe how little I paid. I always try to call ahead before I go, just to avoid having to wait.

I had given up on Supercuts a long time ago after getting a bunch of quick and not-so-good haircuts there in the past. I have a ton of hair, which is very curly and sometimes hard to manage. I realize it takes a lot of time to cut well, but in the past Supercuts had really disappointed me with their 15 minute poorly done haircuts. Well, my fiancé wanted to get his haircut this Sunday, so I said I’d tag along, because it had been way way too long since I had gotten a haircut(embarassingly about 8 months). We decided to try this location because Hingham is a much nicer town than Quincy(where we live) and we figured maybe we’d get better haircuts. Well we were right. The woman who cut my hair was fabulous! Even though it took her almost an hour to finish my hair, she took her time and did it right. She checked in with me every so often and listened to what I wanted. «Did I want my bangs shorter?», «Were the angles in the front ok?». All in all, the best, most thorough haircut I have ever gotten at Supercuts, I will definitely go back.

Having moved away from my previous Supercuts in Stoneham, I was thrilled to see one open directly across the street from my office in Hingham. Since it’d been 3 months and my hair was becoming Bieber-esque, I figured I’d stop in and give the new location a shot. So how was the experience? Well, I entered at 4:30 last Friday to find two young women cutting hair, and two people waiting. This immediately struck me as odd, because I’ve never seen less than five people on at the Stoneham location. Figuring it still couldn’t be THAT long of a wait, I put my name in and sat on the bench and fiddled around with my fancy smartphone. As I waited, more people came in who had called ahead, and bumbed my wait time up and up. During this time, others attempted to walk-in and were told it would be an hour-hour and a half wait due to there only being two people cutting hair and such a long backlog. I saw many flustered soccer moms walk out in a huff, but I kept my cool and stuck it out. I eventually found out that they initially had more staff when they opened, but all but those two jumped ship because it apparently got too busy for their tastes, and the owner has yet to make any new hires. After an hour or so, I finally got to the chair. An asian girl(sorry I didn’t ask her name!) cut my hair to my specifications, but here’s the kicker– my wife, who often critiques my haircut upon sight, ACTUALLYLIKEDIT! That alone was worth the wait, and I’ll definitely be going back. I’ll just make sure to call ahead, of course.
