Hinsdale Campus Colors — They have some really neat vintage stuff along with a good selection of regular merchandise, but they are not very customer friendly which surprises me in thsi economy! I forgot my coupon at home, and when I asked if I could bring it back with my receipt they said no. When shopping, they were irritated when I wanted to pull out a sweatshirt from a stack and insisted they help so the stack wouldn’t get disorganized. And on top of that, they don’t offer evening hours even one night a week to accomodate the working parents. I will spend elsewhere!

I orderd online a shirt that was a size small. When the shirt came, it looked like it was for a 6 year old. I have never boght a shirt labeled ‘women’s size small’ looking like it was for a small child. I paid extra postage to send it back, and exchanged it for a large(which I have never in my life bought a large top) with more postage for them to send a sencond one. The second one also looks like it’s for a small child, but slitghly larger than the«small» one they sent initially. The extra postage was half the price of the shirt, and the whole ordeal was a major disappointment.

Campus Colors has a lot of t-shirts. Some very nice ones. And not overpriced. I’ll give them a star for this. But aside from everything else in their store being overpriced, one thing has driven me nuts about CC for years: incorrect, pushy salesman. If you buy a Mizzou shirt, for example, they’ll strongly suggest several other Mizzou items. Nice, but after the first«no thank you,» please understand that this t-shirt is all I came for. Just last week, I went in to find some Michigan State basketball shorts. Aside from being very expensive, the salesman(who seemed to be a manager for some sort), informed me Nike did not make the pair I sought in white. Bummer, but I could have sworn I’ve lost bidding wars on e-bay over these exact shorts. Indeed, I ended up finding a pair for $ 32 online. The exact same pair I was told doesn’t exist. And going back several years, my wife tried buying some other shorts for Christmas. Long story short, this resulted in a series of visits and searches until she thought she got the right thing, only to find out she was overcharged for a cheap replica pair of shorts, and not the authentic pair. Apparently, Nike«didn’t make them my size.» No, Nike doesn’t make XXL shorts or shorts for 6’8″ guys. When I eventually received them for Christmas and visited a week later to exchange them, I was more than 30 days past the purchase date and they refused to do anything. Even though they were a Christmas gift. Why buy early? Just wait until December 22nd next time! Nice shirts, cool stuff, but this is only a nice place if you’re ignorant of the quality or selection of the merchandise, or if you can willfully drop several hundred dollars on the college sports conglomerates and not really worry about it. Otherwise, any other website in the world is better. Too bad, because it’s a «local» shop that I would much rather support than Dicks or Sports Authority. I’d rather go there than back to Campus Colors, sadly!

The best sports wear! I am a major sports fan, and everytime I get some extra cash, I am definitly there. They aim more towards Big Ten school’s, which is great for most people here. But don’t think they aim only for that, because I am a Boston College fan and they have a great supply of shorts, shirts, hats and jerseys for BC and other schools that aren’t your UCLA or USC. Plus, pro colors was a great addition. Now, they have NHL, NBA, MLB, NFL, and some other great pro sports. I think you will be pleasently surprised.
