We visited The Market while vacationing at Pipestem State Park. We were very pleased with our overall experience! Ruth was our server and she was lovely. She was so friendly and gave us suggestions on what to order. We ended up getting a brick oven pizza along with side salads. The side salads were huge with toppings such as cheese, red onions, cucumbers and tomatoes. The pizza was delicious with a wonderful crust(so soft yet not undercooked). Also, our kids got a cup of the soup of the day — Tomato Basil. The soup was also excellent. We would highly recommend stopping here! We will definitely come back if we visit Pipestem in the future.

I had the Panini and it was so delicious! The staff was so friendly and the service was quick. The Ranch dressing was homemade and yummy with my fries. I didn’t try the desserts, but they looked so tempting. Maybe I will get back there to try them. I highly recommend this little gem.

This is my favorite place to eat in Hinton. Awesome sandwiches and other foods, their service is great and the baklava is out of this world!

The place is great. Great service, delicious creative food and reasonable prices. We had the Kalamata Olive Knots, The Appleachian and The Little Pig(pizzas, ½ of each). Yummy.

Ok, it’s not The Greenbrier; you have to go to the counter to place your order. Other than that, we were pleased. My husband and I ignored the previous reviewer and split a Rubin and fries, and we were pleased with quality and quantity. He ordered a glass of wine(Newman’s Own Chardonnay) and was given a surprisingly big glass. They sell jars of local jelly and a few other items. Nice place — we’ll go again

How did this little gem come to be tucked away in such a remote town. First, Hinton. Worth the stop off the highway. A little history, cute downtown, some nice shops and The Market. Seriously, the BEST baklava I have ever put in my mouth– and I know baklava. Great menu if fresh selections and wood fired pizzas. Local, fresh ingredients. Best thing I’ve had here other than the baklava? The BBQ pizza– it’s got a kick and then, the asparagus soup. I would bathe in it. Why four stars? The sandwich specials are hit or miss. If it’s a panini with cold cuts the meat is not hot. A simple fix. I’m still coming back.

I was on a road trip and had a craving for pizza. I saw they served brick oven pizza on Unilocal so I decided to give it a try. Wonderful pizza with an abundance of fresh ingredients for toppings. I will definitely come back to sample the entrées. I almost got today’s special, which was maple and bourbon glazed pork chop with baked Mac and cheese and basil scented green beans(sounds yummy, right?), but I really had to have pizza. Great find!

Was here a week ago to visit family. Liked it so much I came back. Terrific food and great atmosphere. Truly a great find! — — - 10-15-2015: I returned again tonight. I’m from out of town but can detour through here from time-to-time. Never been disappointed. The servings are very generous and taste great. Fantastic selection. So glad to see the town of Hinton making such a comeback. Great small town.

Made the mistake of ordering the ruben again. When i saw it i remembered my disappointment about a year earlier. I have not tried everything on the menu and i probably won’t. It had less meat than any i have ever eaten – like a single slice of corned beef. Not worth the price or the effort. Don’t recommend.

Stopped here on our way from NYC to Pipestem Resort. Good meal after a long time in the car. Tuna with sweet pickles was delicious and everyone else enjoyed their meals too. They even had vegetarian options!

Great place with super friendly service. When I saw that they served pizzas from a wood-fired brick oven, I knew that was the food to get. 12″ pizza for $ 12 with tons of toppings, and delicious. Washed that down with Almost Heaven beer, a delicious local brew, just the perfect meal after exploring the New River Gorge area. They also served hamburgers, sandwiches, soups, baked goods, ice cream, beer, wine and more, and the descriptions/appearances of them all looked great. Nice atmosphere(high tin ceilings, airy, lots of windows, cool art on the walls, menu written on blackboards hung high on the wall). Excellent, and highly recommended.

This little place is a town asset, and Im sure they wrestle with costs, but clientele that can pay $ 10 for a sandwich lunch like they serve will gladly pay $ 11 if the value is right. My Reuben today had such scant meat that it tasted like a sauerkraut sandwich which was not at all what I paid for. Better to charge me more and give me what I paid for.

Oh my goodness good! Fantastic service and the food is spectacular! The aroma of the fresh baked cookies and the smoked meat paired with the eclectic atmosphere makes this place a must!

Finally found something decent to eat in this area! I had the hand tossed brick oven baked pizza. Made with real cheese and baked to perfection.

Great sandwiches and soups. Located right in downtown and has a very nice cozy atmosphere. It’s a little on the small side though, not good for large groups. Staff’s attitude varies on some days. I have had a few cashiers be a little snippy, but bearable. The gelato makes every trip worth it!

Great place. Good food, okay beer and wine selection, gelato, and a small but nice selection of gifts. I hope Hinton soon sees more businesses like the Market, the Ritz, and Otter and Oak.

Cool, hip, happening little place. Ideal for lunch. They have pizza, sandwiches and soup. The staff is friendly and it’s well lit. I ordered the steam engine with chicken breast. It was fairly good. The jalapeños on it were cold though and tasted like they’d come from a can. Also I was told that they do not yet accept debit or credit cards(which gave me the impression that they intend to begin accepting them in the fairly near future). Their website mentions that they carry groceries. They do… but just very basic things. I specifically remember seeing canned soups and cereals. They say they carry milk and eggs but I didn’t see any milk or eggs in the refrigerator. Maybe I overlooked them. This is about as good as it gets in Hinton. If it were a Chicago or a New York restaurant, it would be three stars at best. I liked it. Will definitely be returning.
